In panel 1, I love the telephone-style transition from “I think we saw a demon …” to “We’re being attacked”.
I have to keep remembering that this whole chapter has been over the course of one day! So the bruise under his eye hasn’t faded and … oh gosh ! I forgot the bandage on his poad-bitten finger!-and his wrapped wrist! well I guess those don’t show in this page anyway.
-And he should still have some tar in his hair, and a few residual blemishes from his Musquate allergy.
