This is a quick sculpture of a sloat. What is a sloat… I don’t know. They do resemble tapirs, but are shorter, bulkier, dumber, meaner, and have long prehensile tails.

I’ve always had such a soft spot for “unusual” critters – and let me tell you! I wholeheartedly think he is amazing, Melody! I sincerely hope that one day his sculpture can one day be available in the store! (I’d be one of the first in line to give him a nice home!) 😉

Haha… I do! They can’t help it if they are one of the world’s most misunderstood creatures. Even on their grumpiest of days, I bet they would mellow out if you gave them a tummy rub.

Gotta say…I love the unusual and odd as well and I really love this fellow. I think grumpy or not I would want one. Can’t be any worse than me first thing in the morning……Rawwwrrrrr Bear!! :tongue:

OMGoodness…these are so ugly; they’re cute! And what’s better is they’re mean! Who was it on the forum who has the “eternally angry” poad ?? I can picture one of these surrounded by young poads, and they each take turns poking it when it’s back is turned! lol…ahhhhh only if you could see inside my head ***laughs to herself***
