Imagine an Oriental painted like that, holding a red tigers-eye stone.
-drops from the mental image-
-gets back up- I’d LOVE to see any of the larger oriental sculpts (oriental, sun, moon) with that coloration. In either metallic OR normal colors. Or on the cougar sculpt. 😉
Another thing about this pic; isn’t that a jaguar?? His head looks too large and he seems to have little spots inside the rosettes.
It’s listed as a leopard but I thought it looked like it had a large head for a leopard too and may be a strawberry jaguar too. Either way you could do the color scheme as either species and it would be the most awesome thing ever I think. 😉
Susie says it’s fairly time consuming to do all those spots on cougar sculpts, but I hope you’ll still do them and not burn out on them completely after the initial test paints. There is so much demand for them and I know the money is there for that demand, + if your a leopard person like me, they’re always on the MUST HAVE NOW list. I plan to start saving a bundle for upcoming cougar sculpts if they have spots or fantasy paint jobs.I’m pretty sure the answer is can’t do that or no thanks, but I gotta ask. Any chance you’d trade me a PYO ki-rin (see classified ads) for a GB of some type? Espec. a uni baby or colt? I’m trying to help out a less fortunate collector on this site get a GB of some kind. Feel lame asking but hey, doesn’t hurt to ask, right?!

I think the new sooty patterning would look really sharp on a fantasy unicorn or Pegasus too!
Or even on other sculpts!Forever seeking: plum, chili pepper, and tattoo oriental dragons and kirins.
How about a cougar sculpt done in uber rare strawberry “erythristic” african leopard? 🙂
Sure!
Squee! I might not be able to get it if it’s produced but I can oggle the bejeebus out of it!!!

Gotta wait til I get home cause current computer I’m on won’ t let me see the images you’ve posted. Thanks for contributing! 🙂
Mine’s like yours, except a full body image.
That isn’t real is it?
The following web page explains some of the mutant colors that can happen. That picture is of a real taxidermied animal. It’s color is either a RARE mutation OR it’s an example of an old faded black leopard taxidermy. Like when a pet black cat turns brown when it sits in the sun too much during summer! -laughs-

Yep, that’s the one. Tried to get that full body image but wasn’t able to make it work.

is this her?
LOL err I mean him? :p
The one I’m trying to show is much redder all around a coppery red fur with darker almost brown red rosettes and spots. That one is a good example too though and very nice. 🙂

I don’t know if I am the only one, but man…these guys are amazing! Any chance of them becoming a production piece? I normally tend to go for more fantasy type stuff, but the coloration on these guys is phenomenal.
I agree!

Thank you so much! I’ve had my snipe set since I saw him….and just kept bumping it up…..even so I thought for sure I would be outbid! I haven’t wanted a piece this badly for a long, long time….
More like send me “to my grave” piece, u sniped me! Just as well, I’m broke. Still stings though, but at least I’m not in tears like with the leopard cougars. Congrats. I know he will be well loved!

Yes, that oriental dragon is stunning! I would love to have him…. 🙂

Me three!

It really depends! You may find someone who has an oriental they’ve fallen out of love with and they’re jonesing for a big red dragon. 🙂 I think it’s a fair trade if you can find someone to trade with. Not all of the adult orientals went for gobs of money. I’m not too sure how HTF the ruby emperors are
Thanks for the encouragement wolfen, and I hope something like that lines up, actually, I’ve changed it from an ori to a test paint male lion, but same hopes, so far no bites, but I figure it’s kind of like fishing, you just never know!

Allison is great to work with and does great work at reasonable rates. Goes above and beyond. 🙂

Awwe… poor Panther. You’re such a good kitty-kat!! Let me give you some lovin’! *Pets and scratches the itchy spots* I got a special surprise for you. *Gives her a Were-nip toy*
Speaking of “were-nip”.. where IS that tempting pumpkin cheesecake recipe of yours? 😉
Also, I’m working on getting a GB your way, not a Ki-rin likely cause I be broke right now but something awesome. I like to send goodies.
