My two showed up, as well. One’s going to stay right by mom, and I think the other’s going to keep me company at work (at least temporarily)
I’ll have to take an updated pic someday….maybe once I snipe the Sun Griffin off eBay…
*innocent look* Whaat? π

Thank you, Melody.

While at the on-post art (ceramics) shop, I was talking up the PYOs to the lady who works there. She might be interested in stocking some of the PYOs, but asked if they could stand up to the glazing process that the ceramics go through (I think) in order to create some of the effects they have. I wasn’t sure, but I said I’d ask.
So now I’m asking. Hopefully you know what she’s talking about because I don’t. π The shop has a “class” every Tuesday night where people can come and paint ceramics that are then fired and glazed. (The part I don’t understand is the the unpainted ceramics are already fired/hard, so why would they be fired again?)
Would the PYOs be able to handle that kind of treatment?

If I get a dark one, I would probably be willing to do that. I think my Female is light, so I would want it to match.
OK. We will have to wait to see which ones we get. Susie said mine won’t be here until Thursday or Friday π Sometimes it is a bummer being so far from the factory.
I hear you. I’m on the opposite side of the country.

mimitrek wrote:Was that just a fluke or have the brown/tan griffin prices been going up?
I got a mint one about a year ago for ~$225.
I think it may depend on the piece. I bought mine in 2005 for either $280 or $380…I can’t remember.

I mean I love it, but I am suprised that anyone else does… It is such an odd combination of colors! It’s such a beautiful combination of colors; so warm and soft. Besides, autumn is my favorite season. π
