pegasi1978 wrote:I take it you are using Firefox as your main browser? I haven’t found an easy way to get the picture urls from ebay using Firefox. If I need to get the picture urls quickly I head to Internet Explorer.
That might be my issue. I have a Mac and use Safari v. 4.0.5.

*chuckles* Ahhh, sorry.
I recently had to give up my 13 year old warhorse of a Mercury Tracer “Pete” and get a new car…. so I “splurged” and actually got a new car. I’m a bit abashed that my Winstone collection cost more. >.>

I was wondering what your going to do with the 2 raffle pieces that did not get picked π³ Are you going to use them for future raffles or will you put them on ebay ? π
We are planning to put Opoponax on ebay soon, like today.
I am keeping Pierce around as a paint sample. I like him so much, I want to paint more griffins like him. ( I am really fond of tan and grey together on a creature) So there may be “Sons of Pierce” on ebay soon.EEE! *dances happily* Yay!

pegasi1978 wrote:Tyrrlin wrote:Dunno how to link it to the pic.
To combine that picture and that link (or any picture and link) you would need this code:
[url=http://cgi.ebay.com/WINDSTONE-PINK-GUINEA-PIG-FIGURINE-TEST-PAINT-1-/300423112435?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f29ce6f3#ht_618wt_1167][img]http://i.ebayimg.com/05/!BsLIoJQCWk~$(KGrHqIH-CwEvCk3gsCeBL23M3Ire!~~_35.JPG[/img][/url]
It will give you this:
[img]http://i.ebayimg.com/05/!BsLIoJQCWk~$(KGrHqIH-CwEvCk3gsCeBL23M3Ire!~~_35.JPG[/img]Here’s the blank base codes:
[url=Insert Link You Want To Go To Here][img]Insert Picture Link Here[/img][/url]
Basically you take the picture code and surround it with the link (url) code.
Ahh, thank you very much! BTW, where do you find the pic URLs? I had to search the source code and that took a while.

keschete wrote:You know you are addicted when you have an Excel database listing your pieces, their value, if they are retired/LP/signed/ COA…..
And you have the database for the insurance you carry on your Windstones…..
…that’s actually a really good idea.

*jumps in, late*
You know you’re a Windstone Addict when:
– you take out an insurance policy on your collection
– when you move, most of the big kitchen boxes (8 in all) are used to transport your collection. (And the movers were aghast later when they needed those boxes for, yanno, the kitchen)
– It’s not “home” until you unpack and display your Windstones
– your collection costs more than anything else you own, to include your car!All right, I’m done. π

Pierce and Opoponax are left, if I’m not mistaken. π

This is most of my collection…I have Wizard Woodlore, The large Dragon Gargoyle, the different Gargoyle eggs, Gargolingus and the Paper Cat scattered in other bookshelves.Which Griffin is that one? He’s pretty.

YOUR Secret Keeper and Hatching Empress??? π *laughs* You’re welcome to come over and hang out and enjoy the collection whenever you want.
MetalDragoness wrote:I drool over all these big, wonderful collections… Can you guys afford food, clothes etc. at all? π π
What are these “clothes” of which you speak? *chuckles* Seriously, though, I took a second job at one point to afford some of these pretties. However, now that I’m in a different job, and HAD to buy a car (my old paid-off-in-2001 Tracer just couldn’t make it anymore) my Windstone collecting and bidding has gone WAY down. *wibbles* I have to keep watching all these GORGEOUS pieces go to other loving homes. π
