I just got my little red Mouse Wizard. (snip)

I was really surprised at his size too; they look so big in pictures. For some reason I always thought of the Mouse Wizards as being just slightly smaller than my Cat Wizards. He fits perfectly on my kitchen window sill though, and he gives a splash of color. 🙂

Unfortunately he is like my other Windstones; now that I have one Mouse, I want more. He looks lonely, you know. 😳

OMG, you thought the little Mouse Wizards were BIG — that had to be a huge shocker to receive such a small Mouse!!! I thought that of the Curlies; when I got my first one I was shocked it was SO tiny! lol Now you are going to want more Mices! 😉 yeah – the picture she posted with the other mice was cute!!

Yeah, that’s why I never got one before; they looked pretty big and were the same colors as so many other pieces. :negative: Nothing new there, and there were always lots of other things to buy; I just never bothered to check out the Mouse Wizards.

I liked the colors drag0n put on this mouse so much that I wanted it for the color and not for what it was. Even though I thought it would be a space hog. I certainly was surprised at its size; I was absolutely delighted. 😀 8) (Smaller Poads would make me happy too.)

I just got my little red Mouse Wizard. Well, not red exactly. He’s a beautiful color, and I love the color you used for transitioning; you did a wonderful job painting him. He is so adorable. 8) Oh, I can’t wait for the you know whats in red!

http://www.armiks.com is another good site. They didnt have the inventory that grandio did, but they can order anything Windstone has if you call them and ask them.

Edit-YEA the discount from armiks! Forgot about that! I ordered a RF OW and a month later got $26 off another Windstone I ordered. Thats huge! So if you plan to buy 2 expensive pieces, save one for the next month 😉

I did just what Wolfen said. 😀 I received my Red Fire Spectral from Armik’s about two hours ago, which joins my RF Rising Spectral from Armik’s, and they both join my RF Lap which came from Armik’s. 😀 😀

I bought the Lap, waited 30 days for my 10% credit to be official and then used it toward the Riser, waited 30 days and used that credit toward my Spectral. Does that ever add up!

They didn’t have any of the Red Fires I wanted when I started looking for them, so they ordered from Windstone each time. The Windstone store website had been showing out of stock for quite a while for the Lap, but Armik’s called them anyway; and Windstone came up with one. Was I ever happy! 😀 With free shipping and all the money I saved, it was well worth the extra four days for shipping from Windstone to Armik’s. 😆

You might want to look at the sale dates also, not just the average price. A few high or low prices can really skew the average.

With the economy the way it is, and has been for a while, prices are generally down. Pieces that were rarely seen for sale are appearing quite often on eBay. I looked for a Stripey Brown Griffin for a couple of years with no luck, but within the past year I bought two on eBay and have seen several more. Good for buyers but not for sellers. 😮

Good luck on your sale SweeTtart. 🙂

I have two RF Fledglings. The gold flakes are quite easy to see on one. 😀 I put the second one next to it, and … no matter how long I look, I’m not sure. If they are there, they are pretty faint. I will have to check tomorrow in the daylight, but they definitely are not the same. Maybe a different batch of paint? 😕

That might be the case. I just gave my RF Fledgling a good look-over in bright sunlight. He does seem to have to have a tiny amount of the gold flecks, but only a teeny-tiny bit here and there. Definitely not like my Spectral – where it’s very obvious.
On a side note, it’s too bad the RF paint job is so unstable in sunlight. The color really is gorgeous in it. Funny, I didn’t really like the color until recently. Now I’m kinda bummed they have to retire it.

My second Fledgling looks about the same in daylight as it did last night. Turn it this way, turn it that way, nothing. Wait…is that a gold fleck right there? 😮 They are so faint and so far between that they are pretty much non existent. 🙁

I did not initially like the Red Fire from pictures, but I finally bought a Fledgling. I liked it but didn’t love it. But then I got a Lap and fell in love with the color. So I bought a Riser and loved that even more. Now I’m waiting for my Spectral to arrive. It fast became my favorite Windstone color. 😀 I wish we could have had a few more pieces in the Red Fire before it was dropped, particularly the Royal Hatchers. 🙁

Yep, those are Rubies that are up right now. 🙂 I was stabbed in the eye by a yucca plant while pulling some weeds last night; but I still had to check the Windstone listings, even with an eye full of blood. Maybe I’ll be able to see better after my doctor visit. I’m sure his bill will be an eye opener. 😛

And Sagiaparri, why not call Grandio? They have a toll-free number, and you would also be able to find out what they actually do have. I discovered they had a Fledgling when I called and ordered my Riser, and it hadn’t been on their website. 😀

30% off list price, plus shipping, is not likely get get anyone all excited about spending a few thousand dollars to buy what is essentially slow-selling production items, in the hopes of being able to flip them at a profit. It is, however, enough to get individuals excited about buying something they had their eye on anyway.

Well someone thinks it is worth it to buy and resell them. They listed the Red Fire Mother earlier on eBay, and just now the Red Fire Emperor popped up. Wonder what else they will put up. 😮 I wish I had gotten to that Emperor first. 🙁 Would have loved to have him.

I usually buy from Armiks.com. They not only have free shipping, but they will special order for you from Windstone and still give you the free shipping. They also give a credit of 10% of your purchase to be used on your next order, and there is no time limit. 😀 They also take PayPal if you prefer to use that. 😀

I have thought about this too. I would LOVE it if people could choose their own eye colors for ebay pieces. Unfortunately, there might be trouble with people getting their piece and deciding they didn’t like the color they chose, or people wanting to see multiple pics of the piece with different eyes so they can pick. And once they did choose I would need new pictures of the item for the COA. Its just way too much hassle to be practical.

(although there is nothing stopping buyers from taking the eyes out themselves and trading with other people)

So what about giving two eye choices on some production pieces, as was done for the Sugar Plum Poad? You show the picture with both eye colors, and that at least gives some choice and makes for more sales.

And while some people might be able to remove eyes to change them, I would probably end up breaking off the head. 😳 Nope! Not going to try that.

It would be great to be able to choose your own eye color and whether they are metallic or regular. 😀 I see pieces on the eBay specials that I don’t like; but then the next one in the series has a different eye color, and I love it. The eye color completely changes the look of a piece, and everyone likes something different.

On the specials, the eyes can be set in place for the picture taking, the winning bidder could specify their choice, and the eyes could then be permanently glued in. Koishii did this for me when I couldn’t decide on the eye color for a PYO Keeper.

Yes, it would take more time and money to do this. I for one would be glad to wait and to pay extra for whatever I ordered from Windstone in order to get the eye color and type I want on a piece. It would be a variation of the way PYOs are already being sold: Pick your eye color. Right now I like some production colors but hate the eye color paired with them, so I just don’t get them.

Just think of all the variety we could have! 😀
