Thank you Etruscan! I’ll be getting a new hip! My kind of “vacation”!
We still cannot make postage labels for Canada as of December 17th. I am going to be absent from the office the rest of December. Please be patient if you try to reach us – it could take extra long for us to reply and to get your order on its way while we are short staffed.
I’ve had some news that the strike may be coming to a halt, however we still cannot make postage labels going to Canada. I imagine that right after the strike ends, we will not be able to make postage labels until the US Postal Service has room for packages bound for Canada – lots of them were stuck in the U.S. from early November.
We have planned with the Brimstone and Copper Patina Toaster Dragons that we will restock them when we can once again make Canadian postage labels. If you are in Canada and those sell out before you can order, please join the waitlists for them.
We have now sent out an email newsletter announcement about the Male Dragon restock. Dec 5, 2024
As the Canada Postal Strike continues, now the US Postal Service is no longer calculating shipping charges on packages going to Canada, as well as not accepting packages bound for Canada. This means that if you put in a Canadian shipping address when placing an order, our shopping cart cannot determine what the postage is and will not allow you to finish placing the order. If this happens to you, Please email me and ask me to set the item aside for you until after the strike when we can calculate the shipping charge once again. Thank you! A 2 pound package going to Canada is similar in price as going USPS – however I’m pretty sure that when UPS delivers there is a customs broker fee as well as the duties and taxes. Is anyone in Canada familiar with what they might charge?
Thank you! I think that UPS and FedEx are a lot more expensive than the USPS to Canada. We don’t use FedEx but I’ll look into UPS.
November 11, 2024 at 6:14 pm in reply to: Toaster Dragon in Peacock! Available Nov 11, 2024 #1688641Our first batch of Toaster Dragons sold out quickly! If you missed this batch, please join the waitlist on Toaster’s product page for the next one.
Answers to Questions I’ve been asked:
I do not know when the next batch in Peacock will be made, but there will be more.
We will be making Toaster in other colors too – but I don’t know which ones or when.Chris, I’m sorry, the Wizard Cat Candlelamp will not be next. I don’t want you to get your hopes up too high! This year we are doing Circles of Cats and hopefully the Crouching Cat Candlelamp and then we’ll see what the next year holds. We are not able to suddenly make all the candlelamps – we have a very small crew. I apologize to anyone who took our email announcement to mean that we will be restocking lots of candlelamps.
Whiteraven: As far as I know, the Mother Ki-Rin in albino with pink or blue eyes is not retired, however we are not making more of them any time soon. I’m not sure, but we may still have a shortage of adult Ki-Rin horns which prevents us from making batches of them (but it could be another reason!).

Yes Mika! I’ll add that to my list of things to do!
For starters this information will help:The jewel sizes are written sometimes with the PP or SS in front, sometimes after the number and sometimes the PP sizes have an SS number as well.
The sizes we use are:
1) PP18, 2.40-2.50 mm (.095-.098 inches) Tiny jewel that comes with the PYO Hippocampus
2) PP24, 3.0-3.2 mm (.12-.013 inches) Jewel that comes with the PYO Dragon, PYO Keeper, and PYO Barong
3) SS19, 4.40-4.60 mm (.17-.18 inches) Jewel that come with the PYO Kitty Griffin and PYO Pegasus (size PP32 also works on these, it a wee bit smaller)
4) SS24, 5.27-5.44 mm (.21 inches) Largest we use, I don’t think this size comes with any PYOThe style of jewel we use is called a point back chaton with foil back.
