Heee, thanks!
(I still like the loonakits too. I maybe should have mentioned I still make them. I fail at marketing, honestly. 😛 )
I have been holding onto her forever, hoping someday to have the time to paint her, but it’s just not going to happen, and I really need money this month, I’m flat broke and then some. *sigh* (I hate being overdrawn, it sucks!) Anyhow, I just listed this girl over on ebay. I figured I should let the forum know, so that nobody who wants her misses a chance to get her.

*nods* I’d make ’em cheaper if I could, really I would. It makes me sad that people can’t get them. If I were rich I’d totally make plushes for fun and give them away! Sadly sewing is my day job, it’s what pays the bills, so I have to charge a good bit for this stuff.
Long time no see!
Man, I hate to only come back here when I’m pimping my art, but I really have to stay away from this place most of the time, my financial situation is bad enough without me buying more Windstones! 😀
Anyhow, I just finished making a new plush pattern, and *gasp!* it’s a teddy bear. A really cute one that I can customize into just about anything. Here’s the one I just did, which obviously I’ve made into a lion:
There are a couple more pictures of it here: http://www.sparkcostumes.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=129
Pretty spiffy, yes? Normally a plush of this size is $120, but I think I could do them for $100, given I really do need some extra funds right now. It’s about 16″ tall, and as you can see quite cuddly and adorable.
If you’re interested, PM me. I can customize them into just about anything. 🙂 Any color, any species, wings, horns, whatever. Dragonbears, unibears, whatever you can think up. Though if it gets really complicated I may have to charge a little extra, for all the extra work.
And even if you’re not interested, I thought I’d share. This one came out pretty cute, yes?
My amethyst fledgie just came in the mail today!
GLEE!
She is almost the exact color of my dragon character, is the fun thing. 😀 The only difference is the eye color. Too bad I can’t easily swap them out. Oh well. She is perfect anyhow.
The amethyst fledges are awesome! (Hi, I’m back for a bit, because they finally had something I wanted and could afford, shock!) But I still really want silver. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. Although I guess right now would be a bad time for them to come out, since the amethyst one wiped out my spending money, and then some.
All the same…
squeek* squeek* squeek* squeek* squeek*
I know I haven’t been around much lately. I try to check in now and then, but really Windstones are the last thing on my mind these days.
What is on my mind is planning my wedding. Yup, I got engaged! We haven’t set a firm date yet but it’s looking like the wedding will be in September! We’ve been dating for the last several years, so it wasn’t exactly sudden, but I’m really looking forward to this.
(And if anybody ever does need to reach me, I do still get PM notifications. 🙂 Just FYI.)
Finally finished the color on this one.

Today I bought a mini sketchbook, and a watercolor sketchbook (glee!) And I broke in the mini sketchbook by drawing this:
Cool. I like the colors, even if they did get faded, they’re still pretty bright.
I’ve been trying to make my art galleries a little less chaotic, but the end result has been, unfortunately, to also make any art I’ve posted elsewhere no longer work, because the images have moved.
However, all of my drawings are now in one place, so if you want to look at my art, you can go here: http://www.sparkcostumes.com/artwork And any images I post from here on out ought to stay put for a good long while, I don’t thing I’ll need a drastic re-vamping like this again.
If anybody wants a quick link to a specific image, just ask, I’ll give you one.
I like this one. The wings particularly came out really nicely!
Maybe on the legs you could have them more drawn up, like a horse that’s jumping? It’d also look similar to how birds hold their legs up when they fly, so it might work. Just a thought. 🙂
A few new things.
First, silly gift art for a friend. The nearly infinite dragon of nearly infinite donuts:
Second, silly gift art for a different friend. Friendship totem pole:
And last, the 24 year dragon. Looking at the first dragon I ever drew, I kind of wanted to re-visit the same creature, but in my current style, and pull out all the stops for pose, detail, and color. So, I did! The original was based off of a toy diplodocus I had, so this version involved me looking at a lot of sauropod skeletons and illustrations.
Thank you!
I think it’s interesting how many people have said she was their first MLP. She wasn’t the first I owned, but she was the first I bought for myself. I pulled a lot of weeds in the yard to earn enough money to buy her.
Thanks. 🙂
