Oh.. hai
So Jelly.. we bought an acreage near you.
Too bad everything has been flooded so we haven’t been able to build our house.
I still love owls .. and flying… but COVID has kept me on the ground too much.
I actually stream flying on Twitch .. under “Adraenyse”. Come by and see me some day.
Sometimes we go to the acreage and have fires too.
And those Windstones are still in a box.. somewhere.
Hope everyone is staying well.

Jealous. I would like to have something out that way.
Have a fellow radio operator who has 80 acres range road 200 just outside the North entrance of the park.
Owls are awesome.

I approve of the books, particularly the CCENT/CCNA and BGP books. The bookends are pretty cool too.
Too bad they’re all out of date and I never got around to reading them. But that doesn’t stop me from running a large data center ssssh lol. The books are in my 15th floor office window, and the basement of the building is the data center.
Hello Snap! I am new here.. but also from Canada. Beautiful BC. I love pancakes with maple syrup.. is it a Canadian thing!? I actually heard that the Maple Syrup business is booming with the golden syrup market hitting golden prices! Or so the news out here said. Like the Owl bookends!
Hello Matty. I am old here. Both in terms of age and the forum. I’m old enough to remember when this place started! Har har. I am unfortunately not in beautiful BC, I am in snow covered freezing cold crudtastic Edmonton.
I love owls and I hope to attract some to my acreage, when I get around to buying one. They are hilarious to listen to when they taunt the dogs.
Still two more boxes to open. What say we get back together here in .. 2021?

I’m not a photographer, this picture is totally washed out by the outside light, but I did unpack one set of the boxes after almost nine years.

OK, so I was right. I figured they were the holders for the dealers to show off and not to sell.
My Windstones have been in storage for quite a few years now. Probably as long as that box hasn’t been opened, since I had no where to put them. That would going on 9 years I guess. Trying to build a house in 2019, so they might get to come out in 2020.

The box was opened. It has more boxes inside of it.
What are these claw things .. card holders or wall sconce holders?

Oh yeah, your books have been sitting in their envelopes longer than that box. Tee hee.
Neat, this forum eats words!

Well last night I took a friend on his first plane ride, it just so happens that this was the gent who had taken over the hosting of the site after I started to run the data center. He told me Windstone had moved off elsewhere into the void so I came snooping around to see what had changed.
I haven’t seen my Windstones in years. They’re crammed up in boxes, somewhere. That old green fledgie is probably pretty hungry by now.

Heh, so yeah that box is still sitting downstairs somewhere. I think it’s over 8 years old now.

Those pancakes got a few people really wondering about me. That was a week before I accepted the new job 🙂

Guys are jerks 😉
(Is there still a 1% male population on here or did that manage to go up at all?)
Nothing wrong with meeting online, that’s how I got into all my troubles.

NO! It’s fun to watch you all squirm.
… and somewhere there is an Old Green Fledgie packed up. I haven’t seen him in a looooong time.

CYXD is the municipal airport in downtown Edmonton, Alberta. It used to have two runways, now it has one, and in a couple weeks it will be closed. Oldest airport in the country, where they trained WWII pilots.
I don’t actually land, but because I am lined up for the runway, I am able to drop power and glide through downtown, since an engine failure would just cause me to land on the runway anyways.
