Ah, wisdom teeth.
Believe it or not I had six wisdom teeth, two of which were impacted and of course not covered by insurance. People normally only have about four or fewer I was told. It was so unusual that they brought in quite a few people to observe. They told me all of the possible things that might go wrong and made me sign a waver before going through the procedure.
They put me under anesthesia, so I don’t remember much about the actual process. It honestly felt like it lasted about 10 minutes. I do remember feeling some pounding as they broke the teeth, but I didn’t feel any pain.
After that they gave me some kind of narcotic for the pain. However, even with the narcotic it was extremely painful to even drink water for the next three days. For the next couple months I had to rinse out the holes in the back of my mouth with a syringe.
I’m glad that I got it done because the wisdom teeth caused me a lot of pain. However, I don’t really want to go through anything like that again. I’m taking really good care of my teeth. Thanks Ski!
Ha! Nice try Ski, but I’m keeping this one! When I get ahold of a good camera I’ll just supply my own pictures! It really is jade though!
Ok, here is the link to the auction. It kind of looks like a really dark emerald in the pictures, but rest assured it is a jade. It’s actually just dark blue-green and gold. Very pretty! I’d add my own pictures, but right now I don’t have a camera.
Jade young dragons exist! I got one from BT a couple of weeks ago. I don’t know about the rest of the original family, but they might exist if the young dragon does.
It’s the same way here. They seem to increase rates whenever they feel like it, and then want those of us who can afford it to donate money for those who can’t. If it keeps going this way, no one’s going to be able to afford to light or heat their houses.
Ok, I’m going to try posting this here since I believe more people frequent this topic. I have just been to one of my local retailers and they still have some mint condition retired pieces such as an entire family of white pegasuses and a large emerald wizard. The white father pegasus is $108.00, the mother pegasus is $75.00, and the baby pegasus is $48.00. You would have to pay tax and shipping. They will take your credit card.
Their number is (719)268-1388. They will only be open until 3:00 PM Mountain Standard Time today and won’t be open Sunday. They are open Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to about 5:30 PM.
Ok.
Yep. Fooled me too. I never thought anyone would bother to take the time to make a fake so well. It looked very real from the pictures on the auction, but I questioned it the moment I picked it up. It was just too light and the eyes weren’t right. I’m glad I asked. I’m out a bit of money, but no one else will be. I don’t know what I’m going to do with it, but I’ll make sure it isn’t resold.
I’m not holding out much hope at this point. I have several male and female dragons of various colors. I noticed that she seemed light when I first picked her up, so I went and held one of the other mother dragons that I have. There is definately a difference in weight. She is probably a pound or two lighter than my other mother dragons.
Hmm, maybe she is a fake.
Her bottom is covered with a green felt like substance. I’ve peeled part of it off and from what I can tell, the bottom is painted black.
Like I said the eyes are just throwing me off. They don’t look right. They bulge, are a very bright blue like no color I have seen before on a Windstone, and no they don’t appear to be glass.
Bummer. She is impressively painted and detailed for a fake though. She even has jewels like a Windstone, but come to think of it they are a much lighter purple than the ones on regular greens.
I wish I could take a picture of the bottom. Unfortunately, the previous owner glued some green felt to the bottom, and I think I might do more harm than good removing it.
She is very nice looking. Her paint job is of Windstone quality. It’s just her eyes which bulge and have large pupils and her weight that throw me off. I strongly believe that she is real, just old, but I wanted to make sure.
Ugh. Yeah! I’ve been cleaning her for awhile now, and I’m still not done.
Hello Melody! I have a question. I recently got a blue eyed green mother dragon on ebay, and I was wondering if she was real or a rather well done fake. Her color goes from a dark blue green to an olive green and she has bright blue eyes. The blue eyes are actully one of the things that I’m questioning. They are not a color that I have seen on a Windstone before and the pupils are rather large. She also seems a bit lighter than the other mother dragons that I have.
Here’s a couple pictures: (I hope this works)
Please let me know what you think.
Thank you!
Yay poads!
I really like both the metallic and the natural looking ones, so it doesn’t matter to me which kind comes out first. I’ll still get one! I think I’ll probably want to have at least 3 with different coloration.
