It was a thought. I know of several people who have done their thesis last (the only thing during a given semester or two) and just did the required visits/meetings and would submit their work via mail/email (though they were written and not design oriented). They did defend it in person as well.
How about Harlequin? Harlie (Harley) for short?
From Commedia dell’Arte, maybe Arlecchino (pronounced arleh-key-no), the clown or harlequin from Commedia) or maybe Zanni (a term from Commedia for the lower class servants – who were very eccentric – I just think the name is neat sounding) in Commedia?

Wow… that’s a lot of work! You know yourself best, but if you wanted to take on the extra work I would maybe suggest just taking the extra class now. See if you can do the thesis remotely (submit what is needed over the web (teleconferencing, with an occassional face to face – not sure how far you live from the campus). Does your college offer a summer session? You could always work full time (or two part time jobs) and finish the course and thesis then and be done for the fall. If you chose to do the 5 courses and your thesis at once, can you start working on your thesis now (doing prep work, design work for it, etc.) now… though maybe plan it in chunks so you hand in part A this week, part B this week (even though it’s pretty much done), even if you it completely finished – and just do tweaks here or there to accomodate suggestions from your thesis advisor?
Just some suggestions 🙂 I absolutely hated my thesis (and my department for that matter), so I can totally understand the “getting the hell out of Dodge” now feeling! My minor departments were soooo much better and supportive (and I definitely got much better grades with them than with my major, but eh, finances sort of dictate… couldn’t afford to stay longer and add the extra course and thesis for one of my minors to become a dual major – hoping to go back and get masters in areas I actually enjoy more!). Good luck either way!
Hopefully someday I’ll be able to track one down when I have the money to spare. I jumped and got one of the last Brown OW, hoping for a white one the next month. They didn’t last long enough 😛

I was hoping to get pics up this past week, but it’s on my to do list for the weekend. I have to crop the pics. I’ve got a few pyos to post 😉
I used some spray automotive paint on a kirin (I just masked off where I didn’t want the paint). It was kinda tricky, since it was also a very stark color difference (transparent cherry apple red – sprayed over silver metallic- contrasted to white). It looked fantastic, but I ran into a problem in the spray I used. The paint was enamel, but the clearcoat I used was meant for acrylic (which I didn’t realize… d’oh!), so the red clouded and dulled a little. I’ll try it again either before winter sets in or in the spring (since I can’t spray things as easily in the cold winter).
Koishii, I think the same thing is floating around here in the Northeast. Been sick since last Saturday here *blech*. Just getting my energy back. Uber bad sinus infection (drippy, clogged, green sinuses, sore throat from the dripping, coughing and hacking, stomach gets queasy from all the sinus gook going to tummy, sinus headache). Mom called the doctor on Monday, who phoned in a prescription (Mom had the same bug too). Worked for her, didn’t work for me. Wednesday, she took me into the doctor. Meds were switched to Augmentin (what I usually end up with because the lighter stuff doesn’t work for my sinus infections). 😡 He also kicked in some Zyrtec and another nasal spray from what I use. From now on, we’re just going to get me into the doctor. Then he can see my chart and just go straight for the augmentin (or something of comparable strength). He used to remember, but I guess because I don’t need to go in every 6-8 weeks since I started using a neti pot, I guess he doesn’t remember it as much as he used to.
I just started getting my voice back (from all the coughing and hacking) and only one ear is plugged (almost couldn’t hear for about 2 days). Missing my college reunion this weekend because of this bug 😥 I got a little bit of energy back today too. I don’t remember having one this bad either. The sinus pain was so harsh the other night I couldn’t sleep and was crying most of the night. Just shy of being painful enough to pass out from the pain. The only headaches I’ve ever had that bad were when I had severe migraines, prior to discovering it was related to a food allergy. I don’t want to even think about how bad it would feel if my pain tolerance wasn’t so high. 😯 This was not one of normal ones I get twice a year (Spring & Fall) when the seasons change and bugs my allergies.

Might you still be in CA just after New Years? *fingers crossed* I would LOVE to visit on my first trip to CA for my bday 😀 If not, I’ll just have to figure out a trip to Corvallis (haven’t been to Oregon yet, so…).

I don’t have one to sell, but I will keep my eyes peeled. There is bound to be one that pops up on ebay at some point, or maybe even here on the forum 🙂
Btw, sorry I haven’t replied back 😳 I’ve been busy since just before my trip and haven’t caught up on the emailing and posting. Now I’ve got a stomach bug that was going around work to boot! Blech!
