Lets how does it compare to the book . I love both . Douglas Fairbanks jr plays Rupert . Ronald Colman plays the king and Rudoff Rasendyll . This is the 1937 movie . Romantic . Douglas Fairbanks JR is just incredible . Less of minor charactors . Some changes like at the more sword fighting and Rupert is maybe not such a pyscho . Charming , deadly and not to be trusted .
They are both incredible stories .
I saw the movie then read the book . I have a copy still . The humor and the swashbuckling scenes are classic in the movie . The final fight between Rasendyll and Rupert is brillent . And they never fought with swords in the book .
And the end of the fight is just such fun .

Ok and if you can’t tell Rupert is my faverite .
