DC, I actually have a head sketch to scan for you, but I keep forgetting to take it to work with me!

I’d put in a claim. It never hurts to try.

Wow. I just read the homozygous form of albinoism in cats results in death. It’s the same with the Overo gene in horses giving lethal white foals. That paired with the deafness is an interesting link.

Isn’t it interesting how the pigment (or lack thereof) can so severely affect survival rates/body function?

I actually like the animation they’re using. It looks realistic and the story promises to be pretty deep. A book i’ve been DYING to see made into a movie is The Sight by David Clement-Davies. Being about destiny and wolves, I think it would make an awesome movie transition.

I think The Sight would be a seriously creepy movie, honestly. Same goes for Firebringer (have you read that one?). Fell might not be too bad, it’s not as, er, strange as the other two, though it is The Sight’s sequel.

My sisters dog was on that for the majority of her life. She had horrible cirrhosis and it made her have to do number 1 very often. She would often have accidents and later passed away due to kidney failure. I don’t know if it was connected but it seems too much of a coincidence. 🙁

As far as raw food.. what do you feed your dog? Raw human food?

Just a fair warning – I don’t have a big problem with the RAW/BARF diet so long as its working for folks (if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?) but be super careful in transition. It’s very important to do your research and find someone who really does know what they’re doing to help you make the switch, if you decide to do so. Also see if your vet will have an intelligent conversation with you about what s/he thinks might help. (sometimes they won’t, it just depends on the doctor, unfortunately).

Allergies/skin problems are a pain in the behind no matter what!

I read some of your comments in the LJ comm and just wanted to mention, like the old busy body that I am, have you done a 6-8 week food trial (as in, a food source with both a novel protein, and a novel carbohydrate, like z/d or similar from the vet) and NOT FED HIM ANYTHING BUT THAT FOOD? I abuse the caps key, because it’s important. He can eat nothing but that food, and only that food. If he gets scraps or anything you’re right back to square one with the trial. If it’s year round, and you get hard freezes where you live during the winter, my first thought would be food issues.

But you can also ask for an allergy panel. They draw blood, send it off and you get results back as to what he’s allergic to, and they formulate a serum that he’ll get injections of at intervals to help control his symptoms. It’s expensive, but far better for him than steroids.

Good luck selling your items though!

Wanna try doing a kitty/dragon? Lol. Actually, since wolves are mostly your forte I would like to see a kind of vamp/werewolf. Basic wolf on steroids with sabre-tooth fangs and bat-like wings…just one of the many random shadowy creatures running through my head. 😈

I’m fine with a kitty dragon, really. I just draw a lot of wolves because they’re easy and little one offs I can do to unwind.

                      There are stipulations, of course.

I’m suffering a doozie of an art block, I can’t do anything right now without overthinking it, and trades are too much of an obligation at this point in time. So I am open to requests to a certain degree.

Anybody can request anything they’d like, but I may not do them all and you don’t get the original (you might get a print though). There’s a link to my website in my sig and I’m rusti-knight on deviantArt if you want to see the kinds of things that I do before you make a request.

                      That being said, ask away!

Do you mean the original Japanese version? I don’t watch that much anime, so I haven’t seen The Last Airbender, but from what anime I have watched, I know that a poor quality dub can really ruin it for me. For instance, I love Hayao Miyazaki’s film My Neighbor Totoro, but I’ll only watch either the Japanese version or the English dub by Streamline. (Not Disney) I felt that the Streamline dub was more faithful to the style and inflection of the original Japanese readings. How do you guys feel about this stuff?

Avatar only looks like anime, it was created in the US for Nickelodeon, I believe. It was always in English; it’s not a dub as far as I know. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.

As for anime, I’m not ‘cultured’ in it enough to truly care, I guess. The only anime I watch is Inuyasha, and I’ve just never bothered to watch it in Japanese because…I don’t speak Japanese and I find that reading subtitles, I tend to miss what’s going on in the animation.

I don’t have a whole lot of current prime time TV favorites but I own on DVD:
                          Knight Rider (old skool, y’all)
Inuyasha (the first four anyway, will expand collection when able – looking forward to the last chapter that’s online for viewing to come out in English on DVD)
                          Transformers (the 1984 version,old skool too, y’all)

and right now I watch Mythbusters fairly regularly, but it’s the only show currently on that I have the DVR set for
I’ll also catch Dirty Jobs and Ghost Hunters for amusement factor when it doesn’t interfere with Mythbusters.

Well the cyst does not explain her throwing up/diarrhea that happened two weeks ago, but at least this is better then her appendix bursting.

It might explain the throwing up, though. A burst cyst is incredibly painful, believe me!

                                  http://www.2ndchance.info/bunnies.htm

From the website on what to feed: Most people who successfully raise orphan baby cottontail rabbits in the United States use a formula made from a combination of powdered KMR (kitten milk replacement) and another product called Zoologic 30/55® (aka Multi Milk®). Generally, they are mixed 1 part KMR, 1 ½ parts Zoologic 30/55/Multi Milk and 2 parts of warm, previously-boiled water. This gives a consistency that at about twice as thick as the mixing directions on the label. It must be fully dissolved and smooth – never lumpy or gritty and it should not settle to the bottom.

I’ll keep looking, but hopefully this helps!
