Just to throw in my two cents. Recently I managed to nab one of the fishy fat cats off of eBay when it was being sold as a leftover by Windstone. It was one of the ones in the store picture (not class photo to my knowledge) for that particular GB. I participated in that GB hoping to get that particular fishy fat cat. I didn’t get him, but I did get another fat cat that had a beautiful betta and I was still quite happy. The guy I wanted never showed up in the show off thread/trades/sales so I figured I’d NEVER see him again. When he showed up on eBay as a leftover I will admit to a moments annoyance…but that was quickly overwhelmed by being THRILLED that I’d get another chance at him. I managed to win (-squee-) and now he sits next to my other Betta Fat Cat. Now I call them my ‘Betta Brothers’. Blue to green boys each with a similar but different colored betta fish.
So, that’s my story on the matter. How I feel is that it’s perhaps a bit annoying, but overall it’s a potential second chance to get something from a GB that you really liked and perhaps missed. So I feel it’s a positive and a negative.
As for the GB wolf thread. Congrats to everyone who got a wolf they really liked!

Otherwise the dirt will get trapped under the new layer of protective clear coat and it will still look cracked. I’m sure I’ve just been redundant, but I figure I should mention it just in case!

He’s a gorgeously detailed piece, whoever wins him is going to be quite lucky. He makes me wish I had the funds to bid on him. -laughs- Good luck bidders!

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameFrom what I understand (at least with pottery & ceramics), crazing is cracks in the glaze (in a Windstone piece, the clear protective coat I believe) caused by too much tension. Unless there is a way to only strip off the protective clear coat and not the paint underneath, I don’t think there is a way to get rid of the crazing. It’s basically like breaking a dish or glass and then trying to glue it back together, it will be whole but never seamless again. That’s my understanding. I hope my understanding is wrong though.

Would definitely recommend any kind of bracing the other forum members in the know would suggest. I don’t have any personal horror stories, but my mom had a beautiful collection of antique teacups and teapots and the glass shelves in her cabinet snapped. Shattered almost her entire collection. She was hysterical upset about it and my dad didn’t show the slightest bit of sympathy (thought she was acting crazy). One of the moments I’ve really wanted to punch him.
