Moon. But I always get both (eventually) of all game pairs.
Anyone think they didn’t realize pokemon “S&M”? >___> lol

      -laughs- I hadn’t thought of that ’til now! I’m eager to see the starters myself. And I have to carefully consider which version because my usual swap partner doesn’t have a 3DS…so I won’t know anyone with the other game. I just hope they aren’t specifically for the 3DS XL. ^_^;

🙂 I enjoy the Pokemon games. I think I have one game from every generation of release. I’m not sure which one I’d choose though. It’s always depended on what pokemon are exclusive to what version. I’ll know when they release more information! I usually get one based on which exclusive or legendary I like best.

Hm! So that’s a Fledgie (sometimes it’s a little difficult to tell the difference between a baby and a fledgie)! Depending on the eye color in the eBay pics you might have a little competition for him Jynxx. 😉 We shall see.

LOL.. if the eyes are blue or yellow, I’m out xD

Medium or metallic blue, I’m in. Yellow…nope! I’m with you on that! Light orange might be nice. But still would like a green or blue-green/green-blue the best.

@Gina – I absolutely LOVE your Jungle Flame Spectral.
Will there be a Rising Spectral?

It all depends on how much they go for, the initial fam are just the ones that were in the ebay cart picture: Spectral, Emperor, Fledgie and Mini Keeper. It is a really fun scheme to paint 😀

Thanks for answering!! 😀 I might have to try for the Fledgie, because as much as I love the Spectral,
I already have one.. I don’t have a Rising Spectral, and I think that this scheme would look amazing in it!
I’d definitely go for the Emperor… if only I had the room!! Lol..
Also… I think this scheme on the Hatching Royalty would be to die for..

I’m really hoping this will end up a pyo. I don’t have the luxury of being able to do grab bags. I can’t afford it, but that’s just me I guess. Regular runs of pebble chickens would be fine too, but again for my own selfish reasons, I know I’d get much more enjoyment out of being able to paint them. But in the end it’s your call, Melody

I second this. I’m sorry that PYO’s are not money makers, but they are all I can really afford. I look at each PYO I buy as an investment. I am a skilled enough artist that I can paint them exactly as I want them to be.

Airbrushed production pieces, and other factory pieces are too simple in my opinion. I like detail. All airbrushed pieces I have, or have seen up close are too simple, and (dare is say this…”Too sloppy”). *ducks head from flying heavy objects* …Yikes!
I think that Airbrushing really detracts from the amazing potential the sculpts themselves hold. Although, in some rare cases, simpler coloration’s really do SHOW OFF the details of Melody’s sculpts in the right instance. But, unfortunately…most often, I feel a little disappointed once I see them in-hand.

I know, there has to be a delicate balance to maintain between labor, and profit in the Factory; If all pieces were as richly painted as some manually brushed special items and PYO’s have been done, the prices paid would be more worthy.

Maybe I am too much of a perfectionist….I don’t know. I am just being honest.

😀 Sometimes I feel this way too. So it’s a relief to hear someone else say it! That’s why the PYOs are my favorite sculpts. They’re the ones I can afford most readily and also the ones I can get to look just how I want. Whether I’m painting it myself or commissioning another artist to do so.

I guess in the end I would have to vote PYO. I’d rather buy a chicken to paint. It would be cheaper and because I don’t collect chickens for myself…I’d never shell out more than PYO price for one. So GB and LP would have no interest to me.

                My first reaction is PYO.

                But!!!

Can you not have both? This one honed for a PYO and a smoother, slightly smaller sized one as a pebble?

I like this idea but the problems inherent with having it both ways are that Windstone wouldn’t necessarily be able to protect themselves as well legally. If its both, then unless you looked at the pad you couldn’t necessarily tell a well painted PYO from an official production piece.

I pictured it as the PYO being a detailed sculpt (so a honed version of what the sculpt is at this time), and the pebble, one that’s smooth (like all the other pebbles) and possibly smaller. There would be absolutely no possibility to mix one up with the other.

Hm, I see what you mean there. A PYO version with high level of sculptural detail. And a production pebble that’s much smoother and hopefully simpler to paint. That would be neat.

This is just personal perspective, I in no way know any of the legal ramifications on any of this.

Sometimes we just have to make the hard choice of picking one over the other. It stinks, because when I can’t decide between two things I will often buy both to save myself the agonizing over having to decide.

Nice job on ‘Jungle Flame’! This color scheme matches the spectral eyes perfectly! I won’t be able to bid on this guy…but I might be able to scrape some money together if this scheme comes out on a young dragon or fledgling. Perhaps with soft metallic green eyes (hopes and crosses fingers 🙂 )?

A photo of some “Jungle Flame” pieces was posted a couple of pages ago (thanks Pam). The Emperor might have green eyes.

Oh my…if that’s the color green I think it is….I’ll have to pass. I loathe the radioactive neon green color. ^_^; Yellow-green is NOT my thing. Thanks for the reminder pic etruscan!

Now if the eye is the same color as the ‘Oil Spot’ color scheme’s eye, that’s a different story. THAT is a green I love.

Hm. Well, if its production I wouldn’t purchase it. No reflection the sculpt, it’s adorable! I just don’t collect chickens. If it’s PYO, I’d be willing to buy them for commissions.

Sigh, I want to bid on that cast bronze momma uni SOOOO bad. But……nope, nope, nope. Good luck to those who will be bidding.

                              Thank you. 😉

You got her?!? Congratulations, she is GORGEOUS! I am so jeally, but so glad she went to a forum member.

You got her etruscan? Somehow, I knew you’d be bidding on her. 😉 Congratulations!

Yes, thanks. I’m passing on the other “Bronze” pieces but I liked the unicorn mare.

“T’Dai #2” isn’t very happy that Mom is on her way. 😉 Some day I should photograph my “mother & rebellious teenager” unicorn pairs.

-laughs- Teenagers need all the patient parental help they can get. So ‘T’Dal #2’ will have to deal. 🙂 If you have the time, I’d love if you shared pics on the forum of your “mother & rebellious teenager” unicorn pairs. They sound like they’re fun to look at!
