I live only a couple miles from a lake with one of the highest alligator concentrations in the state… 😈

When you order an odd eyed wolf PYO, can you request which side be the blue and which the brown? This would be of a real dog, so I needed to match.
Also, I seem to remember someone bringing up being able to order a Muse with their choice of eye color, as long as the size eye was made in the chosen color. Is this possible? (sorry for the bad writing I’m beat)

I never saw or heard of candlepin here in Florida, although when my family moved up to Maine (from south Florida) when I was in high school, the alley in town was candlepin. I don’t even remeber seeing tenpin in that alley.
I never heard of ‘wicked’ as anything but evil except in Maine. Took me awhile to figure out they meant ‘very’, not evil!
I call the drinks ‘soda’, although I use ‘Coke’ as a generic for all the colas. My fiance, from Michigan, calls it ‘pop’. As for tea, my Mainer grandmother always had a hard time getting restaurants down here to understand she wanted hot tea, not iced!
The sandwiches are ‘subs’ to me, although i’ve heard them called ‘hoagies’ They didn’t even have them in Maine- they had a similar type of sandwich called an Italian, which I’ve never heard of outside Maine. Isn’t a grinder also a similar type of sandwich, not a sub?

curioser and curioser… didn’t involve spirit exorcisms, did it?

Sorry for the delay and the lousy hurried pic, here’s my curl!

            ah love…

I loaned my camera to my sister and brother-in-law, and haven’t gotten it back yet. 😕 I’ll press the issue today, as I need it for other things. Then I can show him off!

I was just reading this thread, wishing mine was here but not expecting it for another day or 2, when who pulls up but UPS!
Thanks Melody, I LOVE it! It even has more yellowy and brown on the wing than lamortefilles, which is PERFECT since all my old greens except the fledge are of the older more yellowy and brown color. It could’nt have been more perfect if it was hand picked for me!

I’ll say it again, this is one of the most abso-badword-lutely GORGEOUS emps or paintjobs i’ve seen. I even like the red eyes with it. If money wasn’t so tight right now and I thought I could have paid what we all know it would go for, I think I’d have broken my ‘no-multiples-of-a-sculpt’ rule and gone for him. He looks like a real animal out scanning his territory from a rock in the desert somewhere. So many color schemes make them pure fantasy (not a bad thing, but I like to imagine they’re real).

if you do another emp after the purple, I LOVE the naturalistic appearance of the copper leaf emp. I’d vote for another one, not the same color scheme perhaps, but a lizardy brown or green, maybe greyish.

My one-and-only PYO (so I’m No expert! 😛 ), I used the Golden paints and interference on. I thinned it very slightly with the Golden retarder, then just brushed it on. It came out fine on both the black and white areas- it looked milky when it was wet, but dried clear. I also touched up a flake on my peacock sitting spectral with them- didn’t bother thinning them as the flake was so tiny, just brushed them on, and I can’t even find the spot now.
I supppose this doesn’t help, as it’s a different paint brand. I did buy the paints at my local Michael’s, if you wanted to try a different brand.

Just a big huge THANK YOU to Melody for the old green curlies! I’ve been haunting (or had my fiance haunting) the computer all week in wait for them- got mine!
Now hoping/praying desperately for an old green prototype OW, how perfect that would be…

I really like the way you got the red merle on the wolf- it’s a really great job on a difficult pattern! I especially like the way you remembered to make his leathers red. I wsa going to make a blue merle angel wolf down the road; i hadn’t thought to make the pattern extend into the wings like that. It looks great, though, I’ll have to consider that.

I’m not a guy, but I’m most def tomboy- doews that help?

When I got my first Windstones many years ago, my sister’s ex tried his darndest to get me to let him have them. He LOVED them! Of course, it never happened- go buy your own, Mark! (it was the original green family, and manly Mark was NOT one to go for dust collectors at all, which is what made it funny)

My fiance I can’t say is into my dragons, but he does appreciate them. i gave him my passwords here so that if something happens to me, he can come here and sell them- he was offended by the idea, and said they aren’t going anywhere. Plus he helped me keep an eye on the store until the old green curlies came out, since I work overnight and sleep days. Don’t think he’d get one of his own, though, unless Melody makes a bald eagle (he’s not into griffins).

Edit to add just yesterday afternoon, he was asking about the PYOs. He wants to try his hand at them, as well as pressuring me to paint another. I’ll convert him yet! 😈

I’ve been waiting for these guys for a long time, so glad they’re here finally!
Where’s WSC? Did she get one?

I do so very much hope not! She mentioned another dragon…
I need to go buy Lotto tickets so I can buy her another batch lol! Then she could make all the dragons not made in old green in it, like with the browns- I’d be dumping a bunch of emeralds on the market then for them.
Got mine! Thanks to all for making these guys possible!
