Finally read the FOOD section today. Here’s my first contribution:

I made these (for the first time) a little while ago and want to eat the whole batch–they are SOOOOO GOOOOD!!! *munch, munch, munch*

      1 Cup Nutella
      1 Cup Sugar
      1 Egg

That’s it!! Mix all three together, drop by rounded (heaping) teaspoon (or use a small cookie scoop) onto a lined cookie sheet. Press each down slightly, then bake at 350 degrees F for about 8 minutes for chewy, or 10 minutes for crispy. *munch, munch, munch*

They will spread out quite a bit, so leave room between them. Once done, let them rest for about 2-3 minutes before removing to a rack to cool. (unless you’re like me and can’t wait that long before scarfing them… 😈 ) I only got 18 in this batch because I used a scoop. *munch, munch, munch*

The only thing I don’t like is that they are VERY FRAGILE, and will break easily. *crumbs on the keyboard*

I can’t do anything with regular wheat flour (gluten allergy, among countless others) so these are a great way to get real cookies for a change. Also, Nutella no longer has peanut oil in it, so I’m good to go there, too. *munch, munch, munch*

Think I will use them to make sundaes and might try baking them as a pie crust… 8) I think the dough will do well in the fridge, and I might try freezing it, as well. *munch, munch, munch*

These are so easy, anybody can make them! Let me know what you think! *munch, munch, munch*

      Enjoy!

Oh!! Thanks tasgrs, for reminding me about whipoorwills! We don’t have them here, but they were all over Texas when I was little… 😀

I need to find a sound-machine that has whipoorwills on it 8)

A friend turned me on to this site when my stallion died two years ago. There are a lot of similar places to visit, but I really liked this one:

Here is another with plenty of resources and links:

I’m sorry for your loss… Hugs to you and your Mom.

I’m so sorry to hear about your little love.

Lots of hugs and strength to you.

She loves you now, and will continue to love you for letting her go.

Both of you are on my heart and in my prayers…

For those of you that frequent Renaissance Festivals, and who have seen Puke and Snot, it is a very sad day–Thomas Snot died Monday.

Here is a link to their site: http://www.magaga.com/Home.html

I was very fortunate not only to see them several weeks ago, but to speak with them, as well.

              Joe–you will be greatly missed!

Please keep his family and best friend/partner Mark (Puke) in your thoughts and prayers…

It was amazing, and we’re taking my hubby’s son when he’s here next week. He’s 16. Think it’s a little too much for the 13 year old step-daughter because Joker’s twisted beyond belief! Don’t thinke she would sit through it.

We will probably go several more times while it’s on the big screen–it’s well worth it!

Just make sure you go to the bathroom right before the movie begins because it’s almost 3 hours long. If you leave, you will definitely miss something vital… 😯

I’m sorry to hear about the damage–hopefully they aren’t destroyed, but fixable? Do you have homeowner’s or renter’s insurance?

My step-daughter is in Hemet at her mother’s place, and the quake woke her up…

I love peanut M & M’s but won’t turn down other flavors. I don’t care what color they are and I eat them randomly and often keep them in my desk drawer, HOWEVER, they taste best if warmed in the car… Sun warmed M & M’s usually get me through my holiday shopping each year! and you can bet they’ll be present on the drive from California to Oregon!

Forgot about that! I love them when they’re warm–they get all shiny, then POP when you put them into your mouth!

I also love M&M’s in double vanilla ice cream… 8)

They make mint M&Ms? I gotta try and find some.

I’m not much of a chocolate person (don’t hit me!) and I dislike most nuts so I don’t like most M&Ms, but I do love mint! Hmm…

I also really like the peanutbutter M&Ms from time to time. Cause they’re squishy.

You can usually find the mint ones around the Christmas holidays! 😀 I like them a lot, but don’t get them often.

Okay–I don’t know if this particular question has ever been asked here before (and I don’t have time to look it up)!

So, if you eat M&M’s, which kind do you prefer, and do you have a unique way of eating them?

I prefer the plain dark chocoate ones (purple bag). However, I separate them by color, and eat them in order, usually two at a time! 😳

I go from brown to red, then yellow, green, orange, and blue. (If I’m driving, all bets are off–I just eat ’em straight from the bag!)

Anyone else? I’m dying to see the responses to this!

                          Thanks! 😀

Great topic, and something I’ve been curious about, too…

I love coming here and reading as much as I can, but don’t ever have enough time to get caught up. It’s like my weekly/monthly show and tell visit–I laugh, cry, gripe, complain, and squeak with all of you.

I enjoy the resounding support you show each other, and even the occasional attitude adjustment–all of it helps me keep perspective for the real world.

I think my favorite part of it all has to be the virtual support–all the hugs, cookies, and chocolate or whatever goodies are ‘sent’ out to folks! 😀

Whoa whoa whoa, how’d I miss this? Mirrako, you sound like my kind of person! What do you shoot- any specific discpline (skeet, IPSC, etc.) And what Harley do you drive?

Hi, GB! I have a 2003 teal/ivory HD Sportster Roadster (the tall one because I’m all legs) and my husband has a 2006 blue Dyna Lowrider.

Currently have a Remington 597 (.22 rifle), Ruger .22 pistol, and a Springfield .45. The .45 is my favorite. Grew up plinking with my Dad and brothers. Don’t get to go much anymore because of WORK, trying to sell my house, and leaving for Myrtle Beach on Sunday for a week. Too busy to sleep! 😯

I’m still a rookie (2 years on street bikes) and don’t get to ride as much as I’d like, but it’s still awesome. The first day out, we were being paced by a bald eagle. I was smiling so much I thought my face would crack! 😀

Still can’t believe I’ve found a group I have so much in common with!

Love to read! Love to sleep! Love kettle cooked potato chips! Love dipping fries into chocolate milkshakes!

This Forum is a guilty pleasure, too. I come here and read whenever I can, but especially when I’m irritated about something–it calms me down, and almost always has me laughing within minutes! (Not supposed to be here now ’cause I’m at work–SHHHH!)

Singing, dancing, shooting, throwing knives, riding my Harley, riding my horses–all of these are guilty pleasures anymore because all the ‘have to do’ things have taken all my time.

Anyone else fall over at night, just completely exhausted because of all the ‘have to do’ things, while all the ‘love to do’ things wait until tomorrow?
