If and when you make the Muse available, will he/she/it come with one of those cups?

If that’s what you want! I aim to please. We should just include a cup with each one… with no explanation..

😆 😆 Please show the pics, Mel, so we can decide whether they look stupid! I like the idea of spotted chicks, too. Black female and a white or albino – whichever male is still available directly from Windstone – and I could make myself a odd family in the original colors too.

Hoakay.. It will have to wait till I get back though. We are off to Oregon tomorrow (Not stopping in Stockton this time) I’ve got The Muse with me to work on, and a dixie cup to put over it at night.

So I see that the first Mother Griffin to be put up is going to be the White one. *wicked excited* I know this is a total shot in the dark, but what kinds of chicks do you plan on painting when they come around? Are the going to match the sets?

See, I had this funny idea that will probably not happen, but I was going to set up my black male griffin with the white mom (hopefully the auction lasts more then 1 minute and I get one, LOL) To make kind of an odd couple family since I missed out on the White Males. So here’s my idea, black and white spotted chicks! Like maybe on just the kitten parts. Kind of like the little flap cats that were released about a year ago. LOL! It was a cute passing thought I had. I could easily enough get one black chick and one white chick too though, but you know I like to be difficult =) Ha! I actually did test paint some griffins like that!
They look really stupid. It is hard to do convicing spots with paint unless you paint every hair along the edge, like those great model horse painters do. I may keep trying though, I love spotted animals, and that is a cute idea.

I allways wanted to know (alright not allways, just the last few days) are your girl and boy cherubs modeled after Chessie and Griffin?
I also wanted to know if there is any touch up paint left over from the wings? My girl cherub is missing a chunck out of her wing. (Poor baby). Or does anyone know what colours are close to it?

Yep, those are Griffin and Chessie. Not exact portraits, but pretty close. The girl cherub’s wings are a mix of copper and gold acrylic paint, I think, and the boy’s are just straight copper acrylic paint. We don’t have that paint anymore, but it is easy to find.

They do look like scary little avaocados, but if you can’t sleep, it is only because the Muse wishes you to go create something instead. He-she-it will stare at you until you do. A dixie cup fits over them nicely.

                  Hi-

Was it ever revealed if the muse was going to be sold? I’ve kept a spot on my desk for one, just in case… I’m really not into PYO– the arthritis and carpal I have made me stop sketching, and painting is about the same… but so help me I’d paint up a muse, if only to keep me giggling on bad days. 😀

                  thanks!
Ah, yes. The Muse. The Muse hasn’t made an appearance in the casting room yet, but he-she-it will soon.
You cannot mess up the Muse. I already did that part for you. They will be for sale when they deem the time is right..
I will post a pic when I get one.

Not that I am trying to push our product, or anything.. but if you buy something and don’t want it, just re-sell it! You might make money on the deal.

And Melody, have you considered using another brand of paint that might have the same or similar green colors? If you painted up other dragons (laps, scratchers, OW) since they’re not part of the immediate family and close relatives (the fledgeling), they COULD be slightly different. I’d be happy with a green OW, even if he wasn’t a PERFECT match for the family. He’s older, so maybe age has dulled, darkened or lightened his scales 😉I suppose we could do that,it really wouldn’t be that hard to mix some matching paint… but I really hate mixing paint myself. I just don’t do it. This green paint was custom mixed for us, so we had to purchase it in large quantities. We could get more made, but we would have to order a huge amount of it again… and I don’t think there are really THAT many people that would want more green dragons!

Have you considered doing families for your existing PYOs? You’ve already sort of got a start on the dragons – there’s a baby and bigger, more adult one…or maybe even just mates? Though I know there are probably hoards of forum members who would love to paint a griffin chick… Oh yes. I have another adult dragon for the family, very unfinished. It may be a long time till he is done though, I have so much other stuff to do! I think I’d rather do some some other subjects first, besides dragons, just to touch more and different interests, but I would like to make families of the dragons, griffins and wolves. Cats. I gotta do cats too.I agree, you need griffin chicks. It would be so neat to have a matching hand painted family!

I will try to paint a few more green fledgelings for those forum members who missed them, when I get a chance. (This may be in a month or so). I only have a small amount of paint left, so the number will be limited.

There was very little of the old green paint left,(..unless I find more bottles of it stashed somewhere.) That is one reason that the fledges were a one time thing. If and when I have time (ha)I will attempt to paint some more dragons with the paint I have left. I want to paint a few more fledges for the folks here on the forum that missed them, and I guess I could paint some other dragons as well, if there is any left over.(I better save some for touch up paint too!) I need to see how much paint there is and figure out which other dragons, if any, I can do with it.
