Aww, thanks guys! No real plans… just go home and see what my wonderful family wants to spring on me 😆 They manage to surprise me with something cool every year.

Foxfeather, I love the way you name them all. I could never keep track of all those names!

Yeah, they are very creative! (And oh, so very cute!) I mostly name my dragons after various gods/deities/heroes from various myths/legends from around the world. So far I’ve nailed Greek, Roman, Chinese, and Norse mythology for names 🙄 What can I say, history buff. Still gotta wedge Egyptian/Mesopotamian myths in there, tho…

Lovely wizard! He’s very distinguished. I’m glad he got to you alright! 😀

If I ever need to give blood for a family member, I’ll do it, but they’re going to have two patients to deal with afterward instead of just one. Cluck cluck! -8>=

😆 Hey, that’s noble of you! At least you would try if you had to. I’m really a chicken too, I just play mind games with myself. The first time I was like, “Okay, just do it once. Just once, for the greater good!” Now I’m like, “Just one more time! This is the last time, girl!” And next time I’ll say the same thing. And the time after that… and after that… and…

If you want to try again make sure you eat before donating and DON’T watch when they stick you. Some people get a little light headed just at the sight of their own blood. The first time for you may have been a fluke.

I sure hope it was a fluke. I did everything right… I ate a big breakfast and lunch and I drank like a fish all day long. When they took the sample from my finger my iron levels and hemoglobin were perfect. And blood doesn’t bother me, even my own (when I was eleven I watched them draw some insane amount when I was sick and thought it was awesome).

I dunno… maybe it’s just because I’m small. Not that much blood to begin with 😆 I also hope I’ll be less nervous this time, knowing what to expect.

I also wondered why they made a big deal out of me having been in Italy over the summer… but it was only for two weeks instead of months, so they let me by. I guess I can imagine now why it could be a big concern.

I am sure if you keep an eye out you can find them…or they will pop up on ebay.

Yeah, look on the bright side! Maybe someone around here who would rather have the riser in another color would be willing to let one go 🙂 Never say never…

I’ve nearly talked myself into doing it for the second time in my life next Tuesday. On my birthday. For some weird reason I feel the need to recognize the day I was born by… I dunno… maybe helping to save the life of someone else. I’m also a sorta rare type, B+, so it’s kinda selfish not to share.

But the thing is I hate giving blood! I really do! I’m a giant pansy. (runs and hides under the covers)

The last time I donated, the first time I’d ever done it, just the size of the needle made me go 😯 Then I fainted in the middle of the drawing and nearly fell off the table because the guy who was supposed to be watching me was flirting hot and heavy with the busty blonde in the chair next to me instead of doing his job… I dropped my Pepsi and it went all over the floor. Muy embarrassing 😳

Oh, well, it’s for a good cause at least!!

I always thought a big bat-wing flapper might look cute with its paw up and eyes closed, and be licking the paw and sort of smiling like he was the naughty kitty that pulled the goldfish out of the bowl… or something 😆 My mind works in strange ways. I agree a bat-wing in any pose/color would be awesome!

I also hate it when parents bring their kids in my store and let them loose and don’t watch them at all 👿

That would be annoying. Oh, and who doesn’t love the parents who bring their kids to quiet places (movies, plays, ceremonies, libraries) and don’t take them out when they cry? Just ignoring the poor things is not nice, to the kids or to the other people there.

There’s one right behind me in the library right now, in fact, babbling and squealing to her heart’s content while Daddy (I assume) sits there at the comp WITH HIS HEADPHONES ON!!! Now, really… there are people trying to study in here. He looks like he’s playing a game. I could understand if he was working on a paper or something too and couldn’t get a sitter, but it doesn’t seem like he is. He needs to take the ‘phones off and pay some attention to his little girl before the fuzz (my bosses…) ask him to leave. Or go down to the student center… they have computers there too and no quiet rules.

Wow, there are some positively awful companies out there and they are ALLOWED to behave in this fashion. It’s so unethical IMO.

Oh, yeah. Not just companies, but smaller businesses too. One of my good friends works at a gas station and they are forcing her to pull a 6 am. to 4 pm. shift tomorrow, and they “do not allow lunch breaks.” They don’t allow any food behind the counter, either, and yet they don’t give them half an hour to eat, for goodness’ sake! They are allowed a five minute break after every two hours that they work, which apparently makes the whole thing legal as pie. The economy in this town is terrible or she would quit.

Cheryl, I hope you get the heck out of that place as soon as you can! Maybe you could take a month or two off before getting another job… you know, just to unwind from the unreasonable stress they put on you and play with your little boy? 🙂

Upon thinking about it I’d buy the fledge in pink first. And name her Princess.
