I was thinking…… about having an auction or raffle of a personally painted pyo windstone by a well known forum member to raise money for my boyfriends medical supplies. I have been trying to spread the word for the fundraising website and we have raised 125 dollars so far, but we are going to need another approach to this. What are your thoughts on this idea? Which one should I do, raffle or auction?
To everyone who has helped me with my issue, whether thoughts and prayers, shared media or donated, I thank you. Your deed will be passed on and never forgotten.
Cass, thank you for the link to Ellen. I wouldnt have thought about contacting her. I took a look at the fundraiser website and was shocked that they dont take paypal as payment. I only use paypal online myself and I know others out there like us, so I would think they would allow a paypal payment. Thank you for your thoughts anyhow. Imma go check out Ellen’s website and keep my fingers crossed.
We are trying to find an attorney. There is malpractice with the hospital and with the surgeon, but it is difficult finding an attorney that wants to go against a huge hospital down here. They keep telling us that there is a conflict of interest. We are not going to give up though. The doctor didnt do what he was suppose to do and lied to us about doing it.
Phantomness, any little bit helps. Just seeing all the responses I have so far made me feel better. It is a secure website to make transactions through. I know a month is a very short time to come up with this, but he needs medical attention real soon. In a month, if he has gotten very little, we will use that money so he can go to the hospital and see if he is even healing correctly. If we show up and wave money to pay it up front in their faces they will see him. Then I will start another one with a longer time period to help pay the outstanding bill and future surgery. If I can actually get that much in a month that would be awesome and we could go ahead and start getting everything in motion. With us trying to go everywhere else first, like our government and other places that say they are here to help, we have kinda wasted time and gave me a smaller time period to do the fundraiser.
I want to also thank you for the flyer idea. I never would have thought of that one! I dont know why either, I use flyers when I have lost a dog or found one so I am educated on them.. lol… My brain is rattled…Yes, I live in the US. Suppose to be the best country in the world… Yeah, only if you have money and lots of it. Obama is trying to come up with a health care system, but dont know if it is like what you guys have. My friend from India said that he would have been taken care of there with no problem about money. Greed in America’s health system is rediculous. I am not talking about the doctors that actually care. They are ran by the health care system here and a computer has no feelings…. Thank you for caring Kimk…
How do you “resize” your pic? Is that the same as cropping? I have never had a “size” problem with pics before so ALL of this is new to me… On the codes above, where would I stick the code for it to work with the picture?.. Apparently I am very computer illiterite… lol…
I accomplished this one, but when I tried to post other pictures, they only showed a fraction of the picture… So still working out bugs.. 🙂
I got frustrated, yelled at it and figured it out…. LOL… All you have to do now is:
Go to your photo sharing website and click on disired photo.
A ‘HTML’ code will pop up along with a bunch of other codes. (I tried the forum code and that did not work)
Highlight, right click, copy…
Right click anywhere you want to insert the picture on your post and select paste.
It will pop up as your picture…. YAY!!!! I figured it out…….
I think this way is much easier than the way I was trying to read above… To many clicks on the old forum.. :bigsmile:
I am trying to follow your directions step by step. I have gotten them on a sharing website, but now I cannot find the “weird things” right above where you type to post. I have clicked on everything to see if they might be hidden, but I have not had any luck getting pictures on the forum. Can you help me?
