I REALLY like the tobiano unicorn- I’ll have to try that!
Yes! Go for it! One of the easier paint patterns to do… and it looks sooo good! π Very smart. π
WOW Cheryl… Very nice!
I LOVE the color choice! Very nice vibrance and contrast! π I love it! π
Yeah… I’m seriously annoyed with it…
I know what happened too… I was using one can of clear acrylic sealer RIGHT down to the vapors… and I guess that layer of sealer just didn’t jive with the new layer from the FRESH and NEW can. π
I really should be careful about that I suppose… This is the second time this has happened… though last time it was on a small spot of a horse’s leg…
Unfortunately… I thought I had uploaded the pic (it’s really neat looking actually!) but apparently not. π
Well!
My PYO swap piece would be DONE by now… but ARGH… I was spraying him… and the paint and pastels decided to LIFT and CRACKLE on me! ARGH! All over his scales! ::cries::
So I’m at an impase… trying to figure out what to do… strip him and start all over… or sand down and just repaint the scales. ::sighs::
June 12, 2007 at 8:12 pm in reply to: OFFERS: B&W Tobiano Unicorn… before she heads to ebay! #588710I have NO idea why… but I’m suddenly reluctant to place a firm price on this lovely lady…
So I thought I would post her in here, and accept offers on her though tomorrow evening (6pm MT or so) Otherwise she will head to ebay that night! π
She is painted in a combination of Pastels and acrylics… I really wish my camera could capture the richness of her color (she’s not just flat black! :D) and the shine on the beads in her mane and tail (both are metallic/interference colors)…
If I didn’t need $$ so bad… she’d be staying with me! π I REALLY like how her pattern turned out! π
Thanks guys!
I think I might put her up for offers in the Flea Market first… I’m just so very hard put to place a value on my PYOs… no idea why… I price my model horses all of the time! ~LOL~
I can’t wait to actually KEEP one! π
Sadly no… nothing THAT expensive. π
Just little stuff… like…

Sculpted by Kristina Lucas Francis… a GREAT equine sculptor… I think only 20-30 were produced… Oh MAN he’s so awesome!!!
VERY nice!
You know… worknig on mine… I thought the same thing… “a butterfly would look cool!”
Great minds! π I LOVE how you sculpted it! Very nice!
Dying for more unis here! Tooo many ideas! π
Very nice!
Oh great ye gods… now I’m tempted to do one with a color scheme like Gusty’s! She was always my fav!
Too cute! Love it! π
Oh…. how I NEED those gryphons!!! but I need $$ first…
GAH!! So broke it sucks!
Oh… to add… π I also have a small… but growing… collection of Okapi figures!
I LOVE Okapis!!! They are just such COOL animals!
And they prove… beyond a doubt… that “mythical” animals can be made flesh! Once upon a time… the “short necked giraffe” was just s myth… and then the Okapi was discovered!!! π
Thanks guys!
My friend that I did the Ki-Rin for nearly flipped when she saw the pictures! It’s such a good feeling to paint something for someone… and then have the just adore it! π Makes me feel really good!!!
As for the Unicorn… she’s finished… I just need to take the masking fluid off of her and get some pics… I’m rather proud of her actually! π
Oh she looks GREAT Ski! I love it!!! π
Oh definately ODD eyes! Like Red and Green… Purple and Yellow… on different sides of the color spectrum! π
Even Clashing ones would be great! π
