I think a dark royal blue with touches of metallic purple….
That would be pretty too…I should get the chipped hatcher next week.
Stunning! What color repaint would go with the orange eyes of the old green hatcher? Bronze/Gold? Silver…..
I have always loved the Bronze Dragons of Pern…..I gotta really think about this…..
Congrats!!!! That was a gorgeous piece!!!!

Ohh that would be wonderful….could you scan the chart and email it? That would be sooo great!!!
To the seller…if you are a member here….
I am sorry for whatever happened to make you have to sell these pieces…..but I promise to give whatever I may win a great home.
I checked about this curio…because it is my favorite so far… so I emailed Howard Miller….
The shelves will hold 25 pounds evenly dstributed across the shelf. This is according to the service people at Howard Miller. I can weigh my pieces before I buy anything and I can put my Old Warriors on the bottom.
I will give you $100 PM me if you want to sell…Kaya
dragonmedley wrote:This IKEA one is smaller, but it allows for less pieces to be displayed (therefore avoiding the overload problem) and to have several throughout the room(s). It’s also relatively inexpensive. You can also put in a light at the top. (I need to get one!)
I also have the just-plain-wall-shelves and a bookshelf.
Look at the cute little pup on his bed!!! to cute!
Gorgeous! I would buy her/him….fantastic first try! I wouldn’t be that good….that is why I am going to resist the urge…..so much easier to bid on others stuff….

But that Howard Miller one is way deeper though… oh, the possibilities… I might have to consider that one once I move and have room for another big honkin’ cabinet.Let me tell you…I am really considering ordering the Howard Miller. I really love the pictures and it looks like it is designed to hold some good sized pieces.
Also all my dragons are small. My two biggest pieces are Old Warriors and all the rest is smaller stuff…I don’t have any Spectrals or Emperors….or any Secret Keepers….soooo…maybe the Howard Miller is the one I should buy.
CherylKaufman wrote:Keshetie, those are beautiful shelves- where can you find them?
If you search for Pulaski Curio 20888 or Courtland the furniture store here has one in stock and quoted me $1097.00 which is a decent price for the cabinet.
The Howard Miller one is $2000.00 but seems to be more solidly made. I would have to order that one.

That one’s more ornate, but otherwise very similar to mine. The shelves are 5/16″ thick

Why the heck does my pic look monstrously huge if I try to IMG it in?What brand is yours. I am looking at Pulaski and Howard Miller. The big Howard Miller is desgned specifically for the Christmas Village collectibles and they are pretty heavy
Here is the link for my second choice http://www.howardmiller.com/Product/Details.aspx?StyleID=83
pegasi1978 wrote:That’s a pretty cabinet. One thing you will want to keep an eye on if you go with glass shelves is the weight limit for the shelves. Don’t want to put too many pieces on the shelf and have the shelf break causing a Windstone disaster.
All my windstones (11 equines) sit on a shelf on my computer desk. It’s solid wood and just over 1 inch thick. The two wolfs are in the bedroom on a dresser.
I didn’t think about that! Do they usually have weight limits listed in the the info about buying? Right now mine are in a built in wood cabinet with wood shelves.
The pink one is adorable…they all are!
I am still looking for a large curio that will give me more room than my current built in glass cabinets.
What do you all think about this one…and could you share pics of your cabinets / shelving to give me some ideas?
