What is the sculpture behind the peacock fledgie? It sorta looks like a flion, but not!
That was a great picture and cool idea. The only way you can learn is to practice and that is a good use for pieces that will be destroyed…you get to practice 🙂 You work looks good, don’t be embarrassed…I can’t paint at all!
Very interesting. Thanks! Kind of like nasal polyps in humans. They mention Squamous cell carcinoma, that is the most common type of oral cancer in humans. I am not suprised they worry about it in animals also.
Hopefully your new kitten will be fine once he has surgery 🙂 Good Luck!
Okay, being a human ENT provider, I must ask this! Did the Vet say what the name of the condition was? It almost sounds like a cholesteatoma in a human. A non-cancerous growth that occurs in the middle ear.
I am just curious, maybe ddvm or bardwing can answer my question? This year, I have had a cat with mouth and throat problems and a dog with an inner ear problem. So it is interesting learning about the pet side of things.
Hope the kitty gets better, good luck, he is adorable! How can anyone not love him?
ADORABLE!
Hope you are hanging in there!!!! We are all thinking of you and wishing you an easy delivery!

I was only offline in order to go home and I missed them too!
You did the right thing.
When first time moms get induced, the pitocin makes the contractions hard…unusually so…then the poor mama begs for an epidural, then she doesn’t feel the contractions as much, then, they up the pitocin…then as a last resort they break your water. After that the clock is ticking, and things still don’t always move along. Then you have baby in distress or mama gets a fever….
Wham, Bam, Now you get a C-Section!!!!!!Aren’t you happy? and Wow, the doctor can make his tee time!!!
The baby will come when the baby is ready and daddy just needs to be happy to let nature take it’s course.
I am sorry you have a mean Midwife! Tell her something. As an NP, I would be horrified if I hurt a patient, or if a patient thought I was mean or incompetant. You owe it to her and especially you, to say something if she isn’t taking good care of you! You hurting all day after an exam, is NOT good care!
Nurse Providers are usually friendlier, more concerned and more approachable than some of their MD counterparts. I work hard to make sure my patients like me, trust me and return to me for care! I have to represent all Nurse Providers and I want people to have a good experience!
Happy Birthday!!!!!
Hysterical! I LOVE You Tube!
Very sad for you, but happy your kitty is at peace and that she is not suffering! Hugs!

Today I came home and my husband tells me he thinks something is wrong with one of our barn cats.
Yep, the lid he had on the antifreeze left over from cleaning his radiator had come off and she was looking for water and must have drank it. She has all the classic symptoms for antifreeze poisoning.
At this point there is little I can do, so I have her in my back bathroom with water and a blanket and am going to have to just make her as comfortable as I can. I can’t afford to take her to the vet, and they aren’t open on the weekends, and the chances of saving her are slim to none, all he could do is put her down. If she is still with us on Monday, I will take her to the vet so she doesn’t have to suffer more than she needs to.
I feel really bad, and hubby is really sorry, he thought the lid was secure. I wish I had some euthasol so I could put her down myself, but the darn drug is very controlled, with good reason, but still it would help to be able to do something to help her now, without breaking the bank.
Poor kitty, she is so sick all I can do is hold her and love on her and wish it was over.

Ohhh, I am sooo sorry! That is a horrible way to die. I started making my husband get the pet safe antifreeze, because we have so many vehicles and animals. I will keep you and your kitty in my thoughts and pray she doesn’t suffer.
Hugs! Again, I am sorry! It would be better if you had access to humane euthanasia at this point! I will be thinking about you!
I actually told the wife of my vet, when she was ready to go back to New York, for vacation, to let me know. Hehehe, I have 4 dogs who need shots and teeth cleaning and one that needs to be spayed.
She started laughing and said she would talk to her husband about letting me do all the animals on the same day 🙂
Czar seems much better after some Rimadyl and Benadryl. He is sleeping next to me and is relaxed, finally.
Kyrin wrote:Call up your local dentist on Monday and ask them if they can work out some kind of payment plan for you, since you need help now. Many small town dentists are really great,
My motto is, it never hurts to ask!If it is really unbearable, you might want to consider the emergency room, but the bills there will be much worse, so I’d try to make it to Monday.

I agree with Kyrin, I know that when I have self pay patients they get a huge discount. Sometimes I will also do things like give them a shot at no charge or give them samples and make sure any prescriptions I give are generic.
Walmart has the $4 generic prescription plan.
I don’t agree about the ER. Most ER’s don’t do teeth and most won’t give you pain meds for it either. Sadly, it would be a waste of money. I worked in the ER for 5 years. Many people pretended to have tooth aches to get drugs, and there weren’t any dentists affiliated with the hospital. The most they usually got was some antibiotics. That helps a tiny bit, but you really need to see a dentist.
Hang in there, take some Aleve, Advil, try the oil, Anbesol, look in your phone book for low cost dentists. If you have a dentist, they might call you out some pain meds to hold you over.
