I just found out a couple hours ago my brother’s car just about got turned into a boat. The parking lot at his apartment turned into a lake and made the news. His car was probably the only one in the complex that didn’t go for a swim. Why? He’s working nights this month and worked till 5am and got home after the parking lot flooded.
Hope they stay safe, and they can send all that water to north central Indiana. We are in a severe drought here, and the crops don’t look good.
You probably wouldn’t want the crap we got last night though. You might not have any crops left to water.
I was in one of the areas in Edmonton that was harder hit and slept right through the whole thing. At our house we got about 54mm (2″) of rain in around an hour with a side of pea sized hail. I heard some areas got up to 125mm rain and some of hail was as large as golf balls. I’m not sure how much of my Mom’s garden is going to survive as some of the plants got shredded. We’re fortunate in that we had no flooding in our house (especially since that where my room is). The roof just leaked and there was a little water damage.
I can’t seem to catch thos CB rare ones, but my next want will be a Cheese Plsease ^.^
I can’t either which is why I sometimes trade for them.
A SPANISH Teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.
‘House’ for instance, is feminine: ‘la casa.’ ‘Pencil,’ however, is masculine: ‘el lapiz.’
A student asked, ‘What gender is ‘computer?’
Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether ‘computer’ should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.
The men’s group decided that ‘computer’ should definitely be of the feminine gender (‘la computadora’ ), because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.
(THIS GETS BETTER!)
The women’s group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine (‘el computador’) , because:
1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;
2. They have a lot of data but still can’t think for themselves;
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model..
The women won.
I’ll let you know when I get my next gold egg. They’re finicky things. You can nothing from them for months and then get 3 eggs in 2 weeks(like I just did).

Hehe, not really it took about 17 pairs to get all those eggs(and that’s not all of them 😀 )
Now they are feeling spunky. I got a awesome haul this week.
Here are some of the eggs: (I wouldn’t mind some CB Stripes and 1st gen PB colored stripes but you don’t need to give me anything)

Claim my eggs/hatchlings!For changing the base color I would either do a wash like bayou said or dry brushing. That way you keep the antiquing. One thing to look out for with dry brushing is the texture. The keeper I’ve been doing large amounts of dry brushing on has developed a bit of a rough texture. It could be that I’m putting on too thick but it might be a bigger problem on smooth scales. A wash may also help blend the base and antiquing together making it look less like two different colors and more like different shades of the same color.
Looking at that, the biggest problem I’m finding that the base color is too light for the antiquing you used. The piece to me looks like brown antiqued white instead of aged ivory.

Sounds good. All of you’re golds look pretty good so as long as you’re able to continue their lineage it doesn’t really matter which I get an egg from.
