Wow! Very impressive! Your work reminds me of another artist I know. Wonderful person <3 Jack of all trades sort of girl. You're so lucky that you are so multi talented! I love the large Audrey puppet and the artwork of the heron swallowing up the demons… or expelling them. Not 100% positive but that was my interpetation.
Thank you very much! I really love to do a bit of everything.
The title on that one is ‘The Day The Crane Ate the Wolves’ and is from a series of faux mythology images (images that look to be part of some myth with various indicative titles) It’s a personal favorite :D. Honestly I love whatever people take out of things, after it’s out of my hands, it’s really up to the viewer what they take from what I do, and it’s great hearing other interpretations.
On a light and unrelated note, I just finished this up for a commissioner who wanted a plush version of a favorite kitty. I was very happy to oblige.
Oh goodness, everyone has such beautiful collections! I just love how everyone’s own styles and preferences come through in their favorites. So many delightful ways of display too.
We only have a couple Windstone pieces in the house (I have one more, but it’s currently with my parents. These two aren’t technically mine, but hey, they’re in the house and I am happy when I see them). They live amongst our other various precious things.
Rainbow momma’s taken a bit of a beating over the years, we’re considering repairing her. She badly needs a good, careful dusting, which I intend to do for Cat (her owner).
Pebble animals are just adorable as can be.
Everything shuffles around the shelf every month or so as we clean and sort, so where they are and what they’re with varies a lot.

Thank you very much! I appreciate you checking it out!

Thank you!
I don’t know if it would interest you, but I did an entire instruction set on how I built every phase which is readable here with lots of progress photos. It wasn’t a perfect build and I learned a lot, hopefully to use on future projects!
It made me smile that is for sure!
Ooh! Lovely, I’ve been wanting to see this sculpt painted up. I love the detail on the feathers, very nice color choices too.
29 here, I first found Windstone Editions in a small tourist shop in Monterrey, CA, when I was a kid and was just hooked… but the prices kept me off collecting. My first sculpture was a completely adorable bird-winged flapcat given to me when I was a teen by a cousin of mine. It’s the only one I own currently, though I just love so many of them.
My housemate has a gorgeous rainbow mother given to him when he turned 16, and a lovely little lady cat he picked up himself later. He’s 26 and we’re both interested in trying some PYOs now!
I am also on DA! Though I’ve mixed feelings on the place now, I still do try to keep it updated:
Thank you all so much, you guys are all immensely sweet and I deeply appreciate the warm welcome.
To everyone kind enough to check out my site, you are just wonderful and I really appreciate your kind words!
Hello and welcome! That is cool you are an artist. I love art and architecture myself. I took interior decorating in school but never got into work with it and went the business route instead but Windstone has allowed me to get back to what I love with art and painting! I painted my first pyo dragon a few months ago for a swap and that is fun too if you decide to join in! I am thinking of getting more pyos too. Are you a lady or man? How long ago did you finish school? We have some other cool threads on here where people talk about their age, career, etc. and it’s always fun to find out more about others and connect with like minded people.
Hah, I know the feeling, and I’m still hoping to get back into theater before long. I may try swaps when I’m a little more financially able to, they do look like fun! I am of the female sort, and I finished up school in ’07. I’ll be sure to drop in on those threads.
Oh and by the way, don’t forget to have a look at Melody’s graphic novel when you’ve some time. It’s the “Reptangle” button between “Community” and “FAQ” 🙂
tdm 🙂
Oh yes indeed, thank you! I enjoy it very much (I think I started in when about page… 40 or so was up, after catching up on the archive). I love seeing the creatures in their own world, just makes the figures all the more delightful (and rather makes me rather want a poad).
Hah! You all are enablers indeed! I think I’ll be fine here…
I’m even headed off to the local dealer here tomorrow (probably won’t buy, though I dunno, she does stock those neat feet candle holders that I love… nah… need to save for my PYOs) just going to go take a look at all the pretty things.
May 13, 2014 at 3:30 am in reply to: PYO Kitty Griffin & Long Haired Flap Cats in store now! 5/8/14 #912561I’m so excited about these guys, I think this is where I’m gonna start with PYOs. My housemate and I both want to give it a shot, but we’re torn on which ones to do, maybe we should get one of each and decide when they arrive?
These are all so spectacularly gorgeous, I can’t pick a favorite, and I can’t wait to see that oriole phoenix finished. Just… wow, I love your attention to detail, but also your sensitivity to keep a sense of realism in the patterns and designs (even when fantastic or improbable).
Thank you all very much! I will be sure to check out all of these things. I’m quite excited indeed, and hoping to grow my collection.
