I love the monochrome uni. ^_^ I also like the way the dark grey adds a subtle accent to his muzzle and of course the silver hooves. I’ve loved black Pegasi and Unicorns since I was a kid so to me he’s perfect. ^_^
If I liked Griffins more, I’d probably be tempted by the Sunset test paint. I really like the colours though, especially the blue accents. I’m sure he’ll be popular. 😀

I haven’t seen the black/gold mother up close before, she looks pretty.

I remember picking up my SK from the post office since I had to pay a customs charge on it and instead of waiting the next day for delivery, just decided to drive there myself and get it same day. It was so heavy and bulky I had to ask a postal worker to help me get it to my car. XD

Beautiful male, travistie!I think the colour brightness is relatively the same. The LP uses that spring green colour which I think is the main difference and there are other small differences like a bit more purple on the back of the wing of the Prototype. Also, the LP’s ear scales are a solid blue but the Prototype has some green thrown in. Actually I thought the LP’s purple looked a tad darker than the Prototype but it’s hardly noticeable. I’ve just been playing “spot the difference” today lol!
I probably wouldn’t have bought the LP if my Prototype was already with me but I think it was partly due to impatience in wanting a BVP OW right now lol. They look good together as proud brothers though and I like the subtle differences. 😀

I’m not just calling it a “her” because of the purple so don’t worry about that. 😉 I think the OWs wear purple very handsomely. I guess I judge by the way the blend of colours make the face shape look and that determines it? Something like that anyway. 🙂

It makes me uncomfortable to “brag” but I was really excited when TC_Cat’s prototype Black Violet Peacock Old Warrior got here today (even more excited than usual when a Windstone turns up). 😀
The first thing I saw was the sticker “1 of 15” on the box and sure enough, when I looked at the felt pad, it was marked number 1. Having no idea what number I was getting, this made me dead happy.
I tried to take a picture of him but it didn’t really come out too good. ^_^; Not enough natural light in the corner. I was planning on selling my limited production BVP OW at this point but I quite like the subtle differences in colour as well as sculpt so I think I’ll keep him as an almost identical twin brother.
Whilst I was taking pictures, I snapped a shot of Ski’s Calico Flapper too. So cute!
I use the theory that it’s hard to tell the gender of a young creature just from appearance, therefore you can make up your own mind about it’s gender judging by what looks right to you. 😉
To me, this little one looks like a girl. I’d say my BG Fledge looks more male to me. But each to their own. Putting an identity to them is all part of the fun.
Yay I got the baby! 😀 She looks beautiful, I bet she’ll look even better in person.

I’ve seen others refer to her as female so I usually do as well. She is definately the mightiest in my display. 😀 Even makes the Old Warriors look a little on the small side.
If it’s a test to see whether we like him, I say yes. 😀 Looks perfect the way he is to me. I’d like to see other dragons in this colour, even if you decide to tweek it slightly.
