Happy (early) Birthday! Have a great one! :0)
Awwww, thanks you guys! This is one of those big numbers…. 50!!! Looks weird, and I don’t feel any different! Ah well. I worked out, took a shower and parked on the couch with a cuppa fresh ground coffee. *Yum* I only have one thing on my birthday wishlist: Jen’s Snow Leopard griffin! I was hoping Melody would have put it up by now, but I guess I’ll have to use that patience I’ve learned in the last 50 years… (that STILL looks weird!) LOL! :0)
Who woke me up?!?!?Dragon87 wrote:Monty Python and the Holy Grail is one of my all-time favorite movies…. remember the psycho bunny? I dressed up like, um… I can’t remember the name, but the guy with the blue and white, and he had a tree on the front… for Halloween last year. Even had the coconut horses
It was great…
Not “psycho bunny”, but “Attack Rabbit”, one of the most hilarious parts of the film! You are dressed as Sir Bevidere the Wise, who has some questionable logic skills, some great lines and is very loyal to Arthur. He is the only one with Arthur at the end, and gets arrested with him. Great pic! You should read the Wiki article about it; it has some fascinating tidbits. :0)
Well, I’ll just add my two cents. Here are some of my very favorites (and I’ll bet many of you haven’t even heard of some!)
* Princess Bride
* LadyHawke
* Dragonheart
* The Abyss
* Monty Python (pick one…)
* Blade Runner
* Wizard of Oz
* Blazing Saddles
* Enemy Mine
* The Terminator
* Starman
* Star Wars (Eps. 4-6, real time 1st 3)
* Out of Africa
* Schindler’s List
* Tootsie
* Lord of the Rings (all)
* Memento
* To Kill a MockingbirdOkay, I had to stop…. ;0)
Well, I guess I’ll add mine; no one has it listed yet! July 11. And this year (2008) is a BIG one for me! :0)
CALL YOUR M.D. NOW! If you are being dismissed by the dentist, you are totally justified. There may be nothing wrong, but if you are concerned, make the call ASAP. I am very sensitive to anesthetics, and it takes me longer to flush them. If you have no experience with your body’s reactions, then you need to go with your gut instinct. If the office is closed, make sure you talk to the physician on call and get some advice. Good luck! :0)

I have adored equines all my life, have owned and loved some, showed them and drawn them. I collected Bryers and others in my youth (dragons are winning, now!). To my eye, the necks look a bit too long and too thick at the top, and that one (Antares?) is just plain scary! It looks like it would eat the first thing that crossed its path, including a badger!!! Don’t get me wrong, the sculpting is lovely, and I see why you like them so much. They are quite beautiful! Oh, and you’re right about the tail; less is definitely more!

No regrets here; I bought a couple of extras to trade for the first time, but I don’t regret that yet! I also don’t regret shelling out the dough for the original Brown family about 20 years ago. The family is bigger now! And I think the Rainbow curlie is the most stunning creature! I need to post a pic of mine with my Peacock wizard… a gorgeous pair! :0)
My two cents are here!
1. Copper Mauve family & all others
2. Copper Mauve curlie (if nothing else!)
3. New color line: AMETRINE This would be a blending of citrine hues (yellow though burnt orange) and amethyst (purple to deeeeeeep purple) Test this on an OW first, and send him to me for evaluation…:wink:
4. “Big Cat” winged ones – Tiger, Ocelot, Snow Leopard, Cheetah, Puma, Lynx
5. Winged bunny :0)
6. Dragonflies (my only insect obsession!)
If I think of more, I’ll edit!Hi Jennifer! I leave south of Rochester, so north and east of you. You are DEEP in western New York! Cool! Jennifer lives near me, Jennifer lives near me… nyeh nyeh… he he he ;0) Can I pick up my Windstone pieces and save the shipping? LOL!
Here’s where I posted the pics:

She is very lovely! She sits on my dining room highboy, so she sees everyone who uses the front door (not many people, actually!), but I use that table to work at, so I look up at her all the time. I have a dragon of some kind in every room of my house, yes, including the bathrooms! They are not all Windstone because I like variety, and most are not statues. In the foyer I have a reproduction of a wooden dragon icon from a choir stall in a church in England that I bought at York Minster when I was there in 2005. My living room boasts a large cross-stitch I made showing a dragon over a castle. The library has my brown family collection, but also a dragon clock, and various dragon beanies (and of course, dragon books!!)
This is my Copper Mauve Old Warrior, taken outside for a photo shoot. She’s my only OW. I bought my first Windstone dragons, the brown family, back in the 70s, not sure what year, Mother, Father, Hatching and Young. I have added Scratching, Lap, Hatching Empress and Young Empress. Besides those I have a small peacock wizard, an emerald Wind Wizard and a few curlies (just love those!), and that’s about it, I guess.
I hope you love her as much as I do!
AND, I can’t count!!!
