Thank you so much Melody. It is a beautiful card that I will treasure.

[b]There is a problem with this website’s security certificate, etc.
Yes, I am getting it too. I sent an e-mail to Susie about it.
I did contact the seller about packing. I received a prompt reply and was told because these are fragile items, they would be double boxed with peanuts in the larger box.
Do you have any idea when we can expect the next batch?
Oh, yes! I still need the crouching chick to complete my family!

I save all my boxes, but when I die I really don’t think my nieces will be able to match up my Windstones with their boxes.

I thought the same thing.
Melody, thanks so much for the card, especially since I am a (serious) lurker and you probably have no idea who I am. I’m going to frame mine, too.
I kept checking the site all day long. I finally read the post that the chicks were all gone and that is when I discovered they’d been listed under griffins and not on the first page. I was able to grap one of the last mothers, though. I was pretty upset, but I’m sure they’ll turn up on eBay in a few days.
Since everything was carefully packed, I’d like to think the family did understand the value of the Windstones. Maybe they did keep a few for sentimental value but didn’t have the space (or the interest)for all the pieces. We need to have some sensitivity for the family too. Disposing of a loved one’s belongings is never easy. They might be very upset by some of the speculation here.

That would be me. But last summer I told my niece to contact the forum when I die if she does not want my Windstones.
Oh, and I think you can afford a new camera now.
I got a mint one for $99.00!
If I’m not mistaken, I purchased the mother kirin from this seller. I did get nervous when I saw the condition of the box. It looked like she’d had a rough trip. But she was very well wrapped with bubble wrap, especially around the horn, and it took a while to carefully cut it off. After reading your post I took her out of the curio cabinet to examine more closely. She does have two small rubs at the very base that look like normal wear. Other than that she is in mint condition. I left positive feedback. I think I got my baby kirn from you. Sorry to hear yours did not do as well.
Got mine too. Thanks Melody!
