So jealous!! I haven’t found much in San Diego!! There is one store up in Temecula that sells Windstones. My parents live up there. They don’t have much I’m interested in though, which IS probably good since I’m feeling the economy enough for two! San Diego is huge too!! Where are all the Windstones? There aren’t even many on Craigslist…or I have the worst timing ever, haha!
That’s good to know then. I love Harley so much, I’d hate to see him sick. He got sick when he was a kitten and I really thought I would lose him. I want to check right away then. I have wax paper. Do you take all the litter out and put JUST waxed paper in the bottom, or put it on top of the litter, or put the litter on top of the paper and let the urine seep down? Does it soak in? I’m a little confused there.
Oh–and is there an environmental trigger for UTIs in kitties, or is it just a biological tendency? Can they have cranberry juice? 😆 Kidding!
This is very interesting, and timely! Believe it or not I was just going to post the EXACT SAME QUESTION when I came on here!! I hope you don’t mind sharing, Asinnamon 😳 I don’t know much what to say about your cat, but it sounds like you’ve done what you can to give him a loving home and proper care, and he’s just having trouble adjusting. It’s always a very hard and personal decision to make. I hope you come to the best road for your family’s well-being and the kitty’s.
My keekee, Harley, seems to be up to similar antics. About 2 weeks ago I noticed him squatting on a towel near our front door like he was peeing. I shooed him off and put him by his litterbox, but not before waiting a minute to see if he would ACTUALLY do it…I had literally never seen him or caught any pee activity outside his litterbox. 😮 There was nothing on the towel! I even sniffed it to make sure (gross); absolutely no odor.
I chalked it up to the litterbox being dirty; since my arm was busted he has suffered a bit. I cleaned it and thought nothing else of the incident.
Then, I came home today after being gone for 3 days, and he’s squatting intermittently, still with no urine whatsoever coming out. And he’s growling! He has never growled in his life, except once when another cat came to the door. (Harley is an inside cat.) He has water, the litter box is due for a clean but there is plenty of room to scratch around still, and he has almost always been a good sport even when it was worse and I missed a day or two. I looked in the litter, and there are a normal amount of urine balls, normal poops, no blood in anything. I’ve been gone for extended periods of time before and he has never acted “retaliatory” like some kitties do. My sister has been here each day too. He’s neutered. Could he be growing into it? He’ll be 4 this July 4th. I’m worried about his urinary tract but the litterbox contents are normal. I’m thinking of taking him in for a checkup, but money is so tight right now I need to consider it carefully, especially if it’s a behavioral issue and not a health issue. ????
I have Wells Fargo, and about 2 years ago I needed to cancel a check. The fee was $10, but since I was a longstanding account and had never canceled a check, they even waived the fee for me. Has anyone tried to cancel with Wells lately?
Dangit! I missed the males and fledglings and I, too, would just DIE if I missed the Orientals, my favorite dragons of all. I’m here 6 out of 7 days a week it seems but managed to just not be lucky! Oh well. Maybe there’s already one lucky Amethyst Oriental destined to be mine….I can dream…. :shrug: and check the store!!!
Like the awful fight with my male Kirin who arrived damaged! But it’s true, having to fight for them does make finally getting your hands on one that much more special when it happens. I love my little guy.
That sucks, Bayou. That’s a lot of money just to cancel, ick. I guess with Windstones, you win some and you lose some…literally 😈

I’ve got no job now, still working on trying to wring out the near-$2000 my old boss STILL owes me in wages, and refuses to pay. Sorry you’re having so much trouble Dragon feathers. That is extremely unfair. Take this as you will because I’m not sure it’s the best advice, more just an observation I’d rather not acknowledge. But more and more I’m coming to grips with the fact that ONLY a****les and b****es move up in the corporate world. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. The wagon who runs everyone over gets EVERYTHING. Clearly they don’t intend to reward your hard work and loyalty with a raise; they’re fine with the other kitchen designer’s shenanigans. I agree about not being marked as “troublesome” but the deal you’re getting is raw.
Maybe in lieu of a raise, you can negotiate for perks that don’t cost the company immediate money, like extra benefits or vacation time.

I would kill to have a Dark Peacock Sun Dragon but at this point I’d be happy with just a PHOTO of one…they seem rarer than snow leopards. No one I know has ever seen one!
OH, he’s beautiful! I would save him from a burning building too. Aren’t the Orientals lovely? I have a dark peacock Young, and a light peacock Sun. (Thanks Pixie-Dust! :D)
I’ve always been kinda meh about the black sunset coloration, but that photo is STUNNING! I’d say it definitely does the paint justice. Wow!
I love Haku, but the Forest with Mushroom one is by far my personal favorite. Exquisite colors and textures! What unique work!
I just found this the other day. After going through about 300 entries I had to do one myself! I haven’t drawn anything in ages so it was fun to start up Photoshop again.
I’d LOVE to see anyone else’s drawings! And there are a lot on that LJ entry, but I did get through all 500 eventually and there are some REALLY hilarious ones in there!
