1) I talked to my friend about going out this weekend. It was my birthday last weekend, but since she had no time we decided to hang out this weekend instead as a day to relax and talk, since we no longer see each other in classes as she graduated last semester. We had it all set up, to go see the new Captain America movie, go out shopping in the Japanese area (both of us majored in Japanese), and then eat dinner at a Korean BBQ place. But then, she emails me and says that her mom has arbitrarily decided that she is coming too and is bringing along one of her coworkers. And is insisting that we take one car and pick up said coworker from the middle of LA before going back to where the theater is (a half hour to hour detour depending on traffic). Let me also say that I have never met my friend’s mother. So what the heck! What mother decides to barge in on her daughter’s outing!? Especially when said outing was initiated by the friend and not her daughter!? This really is annoying, because now instead of having a nice relaxing day with my friend, I have to be nice in front of her mother and her coworker. And this was supposed to be my birthday outing!2) One of my Japanese classes this semester is a research class, where we research certain topics in Japanese and then write a 6 page paper on one topic followed by a presentation. Then we have a group interview project and presentation. These were supposed to be the only two things we had to do in the semester, besides two tests. Well, on Tuesday, my professor said that she feels a test would not determine how well we learned the techniques for research, so we now have, out of the blue, with only four weeks of class left (one of which is finals week), a brand new research paper to write. And now since we are coming to the end of the semester all the other classes have their end of term projects and papers as well. So I have the original group interview project and presentation to do for this class (because we are still in the middle of that as well), another group project and presentation to do for my other Japanese class, two term papers to write in two weeks for my literature classes, two novels to read in that same time, a test to study for next week, three finals to study for, and now another six page paper to pick a topic for, research, and write on in during the same time as I am completing all of these other things. I am going to die. The first one was bad enough. It took me the entirety of a whole weekend (including Friday) to complete just the writing portion! Like 30 hours! I was so relieved when it was over. My classmates faces as she told us we have another paper to do were definitely showing how I felt. One guy actually put his head and his head and almost looked like he was crying. Sensei is so mean! Why can’t she just give us the stupid final? There is definitely not enough time to do this, no matter what she says. T_T

My uncle gave it to me some years ago when he was cleaning out leftover stuff he left at my Grandma’s. He was going to just toss it, but since I have always loved dragons he offered it to me and I took it. If it really is one of Melody’s prints that would be so cool! But, right now I am in the dorms and am waiting for my sister to check it for me to make sure.
Edit: It is the Dragon with Babies print! And it is still in its original plastic wrapping too.

They were the ones who took care of me when I was young and we were really close. I miss them a lot. Losing someone who took care of you for so many years is really hard.

I first started my collection with a black gold mother dragon and wolf male griffin my parents bought me when I was 16 (I think it was 16, could be 17, it was a while ago 🙂 ) We got them on half off since the store was having a moving sale, which was the only reason they bought them for me. I was so happy since my parents have collected the dragons since before I was born and I can always remember admiring them and wanting one of my own.
