Hey! Bright idea! or at least i think so…. A combination of topics here: PYO’s, Memorial Cats, and Club Exclusives….
If Melody posted more pictures of her sculptures in an unpainted (white) form from different angles then people who Adobe Photoshop could make virtual PYO’s. You could even print out the ‘blank canvas’ and color if you aren’t Photoshop savvy. It would be an interesting way to get visual ideas for the PYO pieces, Future colors/varieties for current sale pieces, or even a way to vote on ideas for a Club Exclusive piece. Wha’da’ya think?

Yup, Adobe Photoshop!
Really really, wanted to see what my Tessa would look like with wings. I think a purple and blue interference on the white wings would be nice, and I almost made it look like that in the pic. Took me an hour dinking around trying to remember all the little tricks I learned a few years back. Not as nice as I use to be able to do, but works in pinch.

I think I only have 1 more post to go b4 I can show an image… so this should do it. Also, my comments on a container for pet ashes… Please don’t hollow out the PYO Kitties…. Having a ‘box’ maybe even short collumn (sp?) That the statue could set ontop of would be wonderful, it could be done in 3 sizes/heights. Personally, I wouldn’t have any use for it. Because the only pet that I had a body of, was my Marmalade who died in her sleep and was burried nearly 5 years ago…. I’m not going to go dig her up to have her cremated. But If I could have done that for my babies, I would want the option of a container.

But as my friend put it: if it were law that you HAD to have at least 1 tattoo or else you’d be killed… what would you have done? I thought a good few minutes and said that I’d have the freckled – face thing that ‘Dax’ had on DeepSpace9. Now that I know I could have one of Melody’s creations…. I’d change that answer to a FlapCat.I’ll stay out of it durring the strike time. But if it comes down to it after that, I gotta get rid of stuff. I’ll just have to cross my fingers and hope I don’t have any trouble.

You had posted a while back that you were considering doing a line of varied FlapCats for people to PYO their own pets (present or decesed). I haven’t seen anything on the subject since then… I realize you are quite busy, especially now with your e-bay auctions, limited productions, limeted editions, CafePress, etc… Given the variation possible with cats, it would take a while to make a decent selection… I was wondering after all this dithering on that I’ve been doing… If the curretly sculpted/molds of flapcats could be easily made into PYO’s???? I’d love to have memorials for my babies: Marmalade (16), Max (19), Pounce (3), and my poor Meercat (2) who met up with either a cougar or bobcat and lost. Also to have my two new babies: Tessa and Faeden (adopted from Priest River Animal Rescue) as sculptures would be wonderful. Only 1 of my babies could not be successfully reproduced in your current sculptures of flap cats. I can be patient for my Max when you make a larger variety of styles. (just incase you wonder why: it is because Maxie boy had such a kinky tail that it looked like he’d lost half of it and it was fluffy like a bunny. LOL) I’m sure with the current variety of winged (bird/bat) cats that you have sculpted; there’d be enough people with symilar-bodied loved-ones that it would work. Does anyone else think this could work?
