She’s temp. on hold til I hear back from someone who was intrested, but here she is. I think she’s cute. I will be finishing up the last of the custom orders today, I was away on a family issue and lost a few days working.

It was an accident. I just airbrushed him and that’s how he turned out.
Glad everyone likes him!
he might be sold to canada, just waiting to hear back 😀I think she’s sweet. Her little freckles remind me of those crunchy Easter Eggs they come out with around Easter…….can’t think of what they are called.
Anyway, she’s cute.

Thanks. I was going to keep him, but one of my most wanted Hagen Renaker horses is on ebay, so I’m trying to sell off some of my extra stuff to snatch it up 😀
haha. How many of your looked thinking I actually BURNED the dragon? Anyway, hubby said this one looks burnt because some of his scales are black. The name stuck. otherwise, he’s got gold trim, and is sealed with matte spray. i need to get the needle out and get a little ofthe paint off his eyeballs, but otherwise he’s done and ready to go. Asking $65ppd, open to offers.
If you don’t like her, LMK. I need to get the needle out and get a little bit of the paint off the eyeball, but she’s otherwise done…
Windstone told me it was a huge no no to make these into horses. Otherwise, I’d have a horn for you.
Just write to them, I’m sure they’ll sell you one 😀

Perhaps the reason people are “cranking them out” is because they are stay at home parents, just trying to survive. Just a thought. I know myself, and 3 other artists, who actually *have* to do this, or go get a job and drop the kids off in daycare. Just because it’s airbrushed doesn’t mean it’s worse. It just means that that’s the way they chose to do them. I tried pastelling, and I top my hat to anyone who does it because I did one side of one stablemate in one color, and lost intrest.
I think drag0nfeathers just meant that the production time for airbrushing tends to be far less than that of brush painting (just the nature of the beast), and that those that airbrush tend to produce work faster than those that use paintbrushes. This is the entire reason that Windstone production uses airbrushes- they can produce work hundreds of times faster than if they used paintbrushes. No one is saying (that I’ve seen) that airbrushing is worse- it’s just much faster and produces different results. 🙂
I just re-read that, I’m sorry if it came across as abrasive. I didn’t mean for it to sound that way. I know several people who will turn down an AB horse for a pasell one instead. And visa versa. At any rate, I didn’t mean for it to come across rude(I’m having one of those days where everythign I saw doesn’t come out right, think I’ll just turn off the computer 😕 )
I think he’s just gorgious. I’d have never looked at a buble and thought to paint it on a dragon! 😀 Very cool.
Commissions are harder, becuase there’s generally no artistic freedom. I’ve come to find the bulk of my work is better when someone doesn’t tell me what to do. They are also far less stressful. I think when you sell a finished peice, someone buys it because they like how it LOOKS, you had fun with it, ect. But when you do a commission, then you have to MAKE it look like you think they want it to look. It’s like mind reading sometimes. I almost never take commissions, unless I’m broke(like the PYO unicorn things I just did) or times are really slow and I need the work(like the 5 commissions I took last week). but as a whole, I avoid them.

Nope, I don’t. Windstone thinks I’m too horsie themed to carry their stuff, and my shop isn’t as nice as they want it to be, so they said no about 2 months after they said yes.
I have a palmomino custom unicorn in the works. I was going to ask $100 for her when she’s done. She’ll be done in the next day or two if someone wnats her, or the next week if no one says anything. I also have the bay on eBay if she doesn’t sell, and a couple more hanging around here(all brown eyes) that aren’t painted yet.
Anyway, here is what I’m looking for in trade, I know the values don’t perfectly match on some of these, but we’ll pan out the details later. Thanks for looking!
Coil males-white, emerald green
Unicorns-damaged ones
Pegasus-mama, hatching baby, damaged ones
Old Warrior-damaged. Plus, a “mint” peacock
Curl-a REALLY dark red flame(the first one I had I foolishly sold on ebay, and the one i have now isn’t very dark).
Damaged dragons.
Mouse WizardI’d be willing to look over any other lists. I’m just pulling these off the top of my head.
thanks for looking!
