Well, it was a bookshelf size speaker that was on a speaker stand, so there wasn’t a lot of room….I learned that lesson! Now anything important goes up up up! I have a couple other sculptures that I have made, plus I collect Blue Mountain Pottery, so they are all out of kittie cat reach!
I have the busted griffin, a small black bird winged flap cat, a brown hatching dragon(also with a small chip) that I have to dig out of storage, the young peacock dragon that is on his way, and the scratcher that’ll be mine in a couple months(on lay away)…Oh, the PYO wolf too…
I’m gonna try to fix him. It’ll be a process! Nam, what would you recommend for glue so I can take the first step? I really want to keep him, I’ve had him forever.
I was thinking about using an air dry clay to fill in the cracks?
No, one of my cats didn’t like the look in his eyes. 😆 I had him on a speaker never thinking one of the cats would try to walk over him…She did, they both fell. She faired FAR better then my poor griffin.
Oh cr*p….hang on….
Wow, someone else who crochets!! Yah, I crochet off and on too, whenever the craze takes me and I am sick of doing other stuff. I make ponchos, scarves, afghans, etc….mostly with large hooks.
I’m into knitting right now tho. I’m working on a scarf with malabrigo kettle dyed wool, beautiful and extremely soft.
Is he fixable? I know he will never look 100%, but maybe salvageble? What kind og glue works well? I use cyanoacrylate called Zap A Gap quite often, but another suggestions?
I’m ready to accept it if you all think he is a total loss 😥
😳 See Pics Below….
I am so pleased!! I won a young peacock dragon last night on ebay..sorry if I was bidding against anyone here, alls fair in love and ebay, right? And I’ll add that to the peacock scratcher I’m getting from Emerald. Yay me!! Oh, got my PYO wolf yesterday too 😀
I would agree that Water is being VERY nice about this. I am a “new” artisan and I still know not to use other’s pictures to represent my work. After looking at her website, I’m wondering how much painting she actually does. I just don’t think her first PYO’s are gonna compare to Water’s.
You know, this brings up an interesting question. Could anyone just copy a photo out of the gallery and use it in this fashion? Sure, it’s not right, but whats to stop someone? Maybe we should think about watermarking our photos?
nevermind, just read the entire auction….still misleading to use someone elses work to represent yourself IMO…
Ok, why can’t I see the pics? I follow the link, the link and the page just goes blank??
LOL! They do look like they are plotting something 😆
Wow! I think difference is significant! It seems like the craft paint either didn’t accept the antiquing as well, or lost detailing. I like the effect of the liquitex alot better. Thanks for the comparison!!
I’ve read Nam’s posts, etc…I think I need to see examples of stuff painted with different types of paints. SPark, do you remember which of yours are folk arts? DIdn’t see anything called Duncan, is that a craft paint or an artist’s paint?
Sorry, I think I’m obsessing… 😳
