I guess I’m the first. KoishiiKitty painted for me. I will take pics tomorrow when it is daylight. I forgot to send mine off today so I will have to do it Monday. I don’t want to let it go!!!

Seems like anything I say turns out wrong lately!
🙁 I did not create this post to hurt this seller.
I just could not believe that a brown sitting chick that is not retired and offered in the Windstone store for $52.00 was being sold for $159.99.
That was my only point.
I don’t have anything against this seller. It is their choice to price them anyway they want.
Personaly I would not pay that much for it since it’s not retired. And they also sell the Wolf male and female griffins for the price of $149.99 each which I find that more reasonable. 🙂I wouldn’t pay that price for that chick either but some one who really wants that piece might. Don’t ever hold your opinion back! Everyone has an opinoin.
keschete wrote:Everyone has opinions and personally I agree with yours. That is why myself and others have resorted to making alliances with other forum members to get new stuff, like the royal hatchers or curls.
If we can buy them from the forum at retail price, why pay $200 for a curl? I understand everyone needs to earn a living, but if it is a special piece and ebay resellers are competing with forum members for new pieces….well, I think forum members should have first shot at buying pieces.
If ebay resellers are buying new limited pieces from the site at retail price and then marking them up at 4 to 6 times the retail value, then that is not fair. I understand retired or older pieces.
But the curls going for $200 plus? That is ridiculous. They are current pieces. I am sorry, I just don’t feel any sympathy for someone who comes to the forum, buys a $50 curl and lists it for $200. I have sold a lot of Windstones and traded a lot of Windstones and bought a lot of Windstones…and I have never marked anything up 400%. That is just my 2 cents….
Soo, anyway, I vented, I wish you hadn’t retracted your post. I will continue to network with other forum members and I refuse to sell any extras on ebay for a mark up. If I have extras, they will be offered to forum members at retail prices.
I am here because I am a collector and I love windstones and I am not trying to make a profit on special pieces….
Just my opinion! Desertwind, you need to re-post your original post!
Nicely put!!!Blackdesertwind wrote:retracted
I don’t think you should have retracted what you said. It was your opinion and thats all. BT’s is a good place to buy from if you are willing to pay the price. I personally on some items would not be willing to pay that price but on others maybe I might.
ruffian wrote:The only thing that helps with Tonka, and he has horrible seperation anxiety, is Ruffian, the other dog. Have you considered that? Maybe foster a small dog from the SPCA near you see if that calms him down.
If not I would look for an older retired couple to take him, he is a small dog if re-homing ends up being your only option he should be easy to place at least. Have you talked to his breeder? Most breeders have first option in this event, the dog has to go back to them or they can sue you, my contract for Tonka says she can sue me for 7500 if I re-home him, something to check into.
Maybe another dog to keep him company would do the trick. When I put my dog Marney outside alone she freaks but when I put one of my other dogs Spike or Tuff out there with her she is ok. Dogs need friends too. That was wierd, I went into General Windstone and came out Trade and Swap! 😯 😆
I’m waiting for the set in silver too. But I do second the thought that the hatchers should come out in Em-pea even though I know there won’t be anymore castings 😥
Melody wrote:There will be about thirty more of each of these royal hatchers in rainbow. We ran out of the felt pads for them, so we’re waiting for more to be delivered (next week) before putting the rest of these hatchers in the store.
This batch of rainbows and silvers has finished up our inventory of castings, so when these are sold we won’t have more until we are relocated and back in production.
Olimpia has painted a few special ones also.[/quote
Does this mean there won’t be any silvers until next week or did some of the last felt get used on them and there gonna be snuck in this week?I’ve been looking in the store for the royals since I went to the factory. I’ve been waiting and looking so I hope I don’t miss them!
I used a triple thich gloss finish this time but I’m not too sure if I am happy with it or not. The triple thick doesn’t go into all the nooks and crannys so I had to look very close to find the spots it didn’t cover. I usually use a regular brush on satin so this one might be a little too glossy but it still looks good. We’ll find out when my swapee gets it.

Was he using the ebay live counter?

That’s weird. What is the ‘live counter’? Is that a new ebay feature? I ask because I know they changed their site around and I’m still trying figure out how to see auctions that have completed by sellers (ie. completed windstone auctions, or even with other sellers). I hated this layout when they were testing it and I hate it just as much now 👿
You don’t have to refresh your pages to see up to the minute changes. Its a live clock counter so you see when other people bid at the moment they do it.I was just bidding on a male peacock and I was using the live counter. You finally got it! I saw the Poad when I visited the factory. It is so pretty! I hope things get better for you.
Kachina wrote:I just won an ebay auction for a peacock OW. Final price was $125 or so before shipping costs. Now I just have to pray he gets here in one piece!
I’m already running out of room. 😛 If I buy many more, we’ll have to knock out a wall and add on. 😆
Oh Man!!! I thought I had that one in the bag and bid a very high amount but my stupid lap top decided right at that moment to not refresh and I was using the live counter!!! Needless to say, I was pissed!!! Oh well thats how it goes. Congrats to you for getting him at such a great cost! 😀 -
