To be honest, I don’t post a lot of my stuff here or other places because I am a little self conscious. Here are a couple of the things I do.
I quilt:
I make unique and custom dreamcatchers. I used to do this for comissions, but I haven’t had a customer in almost a year:
I sketch fantasy art, and often. Have for a long, long time. I also enjoy drawing animals, though that started when I became a vet tech:
And I paint, with all different sorts of media. This particular one is just oil pastels. This is the picture that discouraged me so badly about a year ago I stopped painting for a long time. Unfinished, so I apologize. I never did finish it. And it was a comission. I simply refunded the customer her money, and referred her to another artist who did good work. I really lost my groove because of this picture. But now I’m finding it again:
Nothing special, really. 🙂

Geeze, Drag0n….it sounds like your workplace is a breeding ground for whackos!
I have to give you credit, though….you’re still employed and not incarcerated…….yet.Hmmmmm….power tools…..and forklifts. She ought to be run over with one of those and then you can tell her that’s how her cat felt, and ask her how she likes it. 👿
I might be willing to pitch in to get HER stuffed.. 😉
I am sketching a griffon right now, and I’m having the HARDEST time properly building the front legs. Everything else was easy, but this is killer for me. I refuse to give up on this, so I need advice.
Maybe someone out there has some pointers for me? Those bird claws are doing me in. What’s your trick? Should I look at actual photographs of birdclaws? Or is ‘winging it’ easier?
Glad you gave us an update. I was just searching for this thread to see how she was doing! Very happy she’s feeling better!
I actually REALLY REALLY like that green dragon. I’m surprised. I’m not normally a big fan of green, but that one got my heart going. She’s gorgeous!

What kinda job are you hunting for?
well any would be good.. there really aren’t any good ones here..
and everyone says Texas is doing so well and is recession proof.. wonder if the people that say that have even been here..
I’m originally from Texas myself, and I can tell you I feel your pain. My sister in law and best friend live in Georgetown, and I hear the job market there is BEGINNING to prosper. Maybe you could check out that area?
Congratulations!!!!! That’s sort of a big deal! 😀
What kinda job are you hunting for?
YAY!!!! Grats!

Hehe! Hey, that’s a great idea!!!
I’ve yet to (knowingly) meet anyone from here, YET! But I’d love to meet Poems, since she only lives a few hours away! 😀
Thanks everyone. I was afraid he would be too far gone, but this thread gives me hope for this little guy. Kalandra, I’m about to pm you!

Oh you can certainly use Kalandra to repair your pet!!! She does awesome work – but the love note? What a JERK to get rid of it LOL Poor Melissa eh?
That’s a coiled dragon, what a cutie – and in WHITE, what were the chances of you finding that at a thrift store?!! You are made of luck, I think.
There are many other talented artists on the forum, but I can only vouch for Kalandra’s work myself. Haven’t borrowed anyone elses talent 🙂
LOL! Tell me about it! I wonder if he was thrown and broken during a breakup or something.. haha
Not only to identify him, but are his ‘wounds’ repairable? I know he’ll never be like new… but I feel like I’m neglecting a pet if I don’t even try! Haha!

I just went and picked up a white dragon from her. I forget what it’s called, but it’s the little one that’s curled up. White curled mother? It’s in AWFUL shape. Several cracks, chips and scratches. Also, whoever owned it before wrote on the bottom. A little love note, it looks like. I’ll take pictures later when my husband gets home with my camera.
Little and curled with a glass spear… should be a curled and its only peaking out one eye. the other is shut… BUT the male Coiled also has a glass spear, but is bigger… the mother coiled has the gold egg.
It doesn’t have the egg, and his head is up and erect. now that I’m looking at it, he’s also missing his horns!!! Poor guy!! 🙁
This post is bittersweet. A friend of mine at Salvation Army called me and said they had a windstone dragon that had just come in. Naturally, I went to go see it. To my surprise, it was white. (White curled mother, I *think* it’s called.. I’m still trying to remember the names) I was stoked, but she is in really, really bad shape. A big chip on the wings and several small ones in other places. Also, her previous owner wrote a little love note on the bottom. As soon as I have my camera tonight I will take some pictures to post. They sold her to me for five dollars, so at least I can give the poor thing a good home. Maybe even get her repaired one day, if someone is up to the challenge.
