Yes, those guys are really small. But you can place them with photos or small candles and they really add a nice touch. In college I kept one next to my meditation candle and it really gave a wonderful effect without taking much room.
That was pretty brave, nice work!
Wow, I had no idea they were that expensive. I just realized that the Emp P. Spectrals are coming out so that might be a bit cheaper (I hope). Thanks again for everyone’s input.

Well I’m looking for a mint one, so it will be higher. I can still get the peacock and ruby directly through Windstone for $238, so anything less than that I would consider.
Thank you everyone for keeping a look out.
If you have one near mint or know someone who does let me know. Thanks! 😀

I think a new title for Mimi should be “Thread Finder Extraordinaire!”. I was going to say Thread Master, but…it just didn’t sound right. 😆
Congrats!! *throws confetti*

This is what you posted in the Gallery about the figure Balance:
“I made her right after 9/11. Please let there be balance. Including the Other and consciously redefining and regaining balance.”Before I saw your comments the first thing that came to mind when I saw this piece was the Goddess Kwan Yin, due to the design of the head. Did you use renditions of her as inspiration or something else?
Hi SilverArrow,
my intent was to give “Balance” the feel of a Muslim women. I did not want this to be obvious, it was mostly for my own sense of participating in this tragedy. So far I have managed to stay out of religions and races. There are so many qualities to our unfolding that we all share and I stay with those.
Kuan Yin is a most precious figure. I like sculpting her very much and I have made many. The Divine Giver of Compassion is not necessarily a Goddess in Asia. Her exquisite essence is so very accessible and human and her origin is not related as an embodiment of some supernatural event. I feel I can sculpt her without moving into the minefield of religions.
Would you like to see Kwan Yin produced by Windstone?
I think that would be a very beautiful and inspiring sculpt. Although, I might be biased, because I like Goddess sculpts in general. They can take so many forms and can embody so many aspects of the feminine divine that I sometimes feel is lacking from our modern society. There is balance in all things, as one of my teachers used to say. 😉

Here are some lion profiles:
http://www.wallpaperbase.com/wallpapers/animals/lions/lion_4.jpg
http://www.slrobertson.com/images/africa/namibia/okonjima/male-lion-profile.jpgThe mane tends to lay back on the forehead more than poof up (on most of the lion pics I’ve looked at).
I also think from looking at these pics that even on the original Flion, the muzzle could still use an extension. On a real lion, there is quite a space between the raised area where the whiskers are, and the area where the occipital bone sticks out (beneith the eye). This is lacking on the flion.
Also, the top of the head on the flion appears a little too horizontal–on the lions in the pics I posted, the slope at the top of the head looks steeper.
What think you, Mel?That’s what was bugging me about the face on the Flion. I think a lionness would be cool, but I couldn’t quite bring myself to purchase a Flion because there was something wrong with the face, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Thanks for pointing that out.
As Melody said, it’s a Flion, not a lion, so the artist gets the final say I suppose. 😉
I used to collect $2 bills when I was younger because I thought they were neat looking. At one time you could purchase them off of Ebay.
Some more unusual bills are the silver certificates. They are no longer backed by silver, but they are sometimes sought after by collectors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_Certificate). They have more of a bluish/grey tinge to them, but most people will not notice the difference, unless you look real close at the “silver certificate” label.

I agree. If this drags on too long, they might say, they can’t find the receipts or phone messages. Get your money back and order from Wolfenlodge or Emerald.
