LOL! When I first read this, I thought you were asking about little outfits for the griffin sculps! I am such a dork! 😆 😆

I like the spotty pattern on #4 better than the stripey pattern…colors aside…I especially like how the grey is darker on the spot border and fades gently inwards.

I like him because of those reasons too. Plus, he’s just soooo different looking when compared to many of the others. This is probably why #5 won last time. She was the only black one out of the group… making her unique and desirable to the collectible eye! 🙂

I agree with both of you. Those two stood out quite a bit from the rest, though 12 is quite different as well and doesn’t have as many votes. I think someone mentioned 12 looks great in person, but of the two white/gray ones I still like the darker coloring of #4. Number 9 would have been my second choice though.

It’s hard to tell from the pic, but is 12 completely white without spots or stripes?

Something else I forgot to mention too is that a lot of people take late summer vacations (at least here). Now that they are coming back the next big thing is getting ready for school/fall, etc. So maybe everyone’s focus is more for stocking up for things like that than looking at the pretty stuff. 🙂 Just an idea.

It often depends on whether the item I want is something that will be available later, and whether I’ve just bought something recently (the “You’ve indulged yourself enough, dear” kind of thing). There’s also the “is it a reasonable price to me” question. I get into trouble when I’m pursuing retired Windstones because it’s hard to predict what will come up again and what it will cost.

                Yes, exactly!

It depends on what I’m purchasing.

                  For Windstones:
If I have the money or can borrow it, I would be more likely to purchase a new release from the factory if we don’t know how many will be made (and it’s a piece I would really want). Mainly because you can’t go back later and buy it if the entire batch is gone. On e-bay, I usually wait until I find a piece that looks good and a seller that has good communication. (Or at a time I know a lot of people will unload their collections – i.e. Christmas.) I’ve been burned too many times and my impatience has cost me, so I’m more cautious now.

                  For hobby items/books & CDs/etc.
I try to save up for these items (since there is a mass quantity) or will purchase early if I can find a really good deal. These items are usually $50 or less, so I don’t worry too much about getting them at a certain time or not. I know some people have to be the first to own a particular movie on DVD. I can wait months until I get it and it doesn’t bother me.

So, I guess my long winded answer would be availability determines when I will buy, assuming I have enough $$ and the item is in my price range.

Yea, SPark has been busy with other things. She is trying to stay away from the forum to save her pocketbook (I can’t blame her ). All is well though.

Man, I cant do it. I know if I did, I would regret it. Sorry for the false alarm. If I did sell, I would want around $400 for it. I could probably get that, but I would feel bad since more will be made for $230. 😆

Actually, I’m not so sure about that. I was under the impression by some comments of Melody that she wasn’t going to make anymore of the Pink eyed albino griffs and probably not moms or chicks either.
