Here are mine…They make such a pretty pair! ^_^ I LOVE her tail jewelery…it’s so dainty!
Dang it Arlla and Copper!!! I had just convinced myself I didn’t NEED a tan mother because the coloring was slightly off and they didn’t really match. And then you guys go and post really pretty pictures of the pair. You guys really know how to ruin other people’s finances! 😛 😆

Here is Melody’s quote, for the third time this morning.. 😉
Melody wrote:I plan to eventually make curls in all the colors we make, or have made.(although I don’t think I can squeeze the Autumn Leaf color onto them. They are too dinky.) Yes, I plan to do Jade curls.
I don’t know if a Jade mother coiled was ever made, anyone know? (I didn’t know Jade Scratchers were ever made!)I don’t think it was such a question of if the peacock color would be made, just when. 😀

Indeed. I can imagine worse things to be addicted to, and to my knowledge none come with the same or higher resale value. 😉

There was a third batch? I didn’t even hear about that one. Wow.
I really like that. How much do you charge?

You have to live with yourself and you have to make yourself happy, one day or even one moment at a time. I can tell you from experience that it isn’t easy, but you never know what life has in store for you, ya know? You aren’t alone…we’re here for you.
I concur, no one can convince you one way or another. You just have to get to that point yourself.
Just a couple of points to consider. I don’t smoke, but have had friends that do and the one that quit about 10 years ago said that food actually tastes better since your sense of smell comes back. Just something to ponder.
As to tackling something like this (I am dealing with other problems, but in some ways they are similar) you just need to realize what cost you are paying. You will pay it regardless (whether you stop smoking or not), there is no free lunch so to speak. You can travel the long road of withdrawls, cravings, etc. and improve your health or enjoy the pleasure of smoking and then pay for it medically and with the outgo of cash for the product itself. It boils down to what quality of life you want and what (and when) you’re willing to pay for it.
After re-reading this, it sounds a bit grim, but it’s pretty matter of fact.
Congrats everyone! All the pieces look fabulous.
Good news!

This is interesting. I once shipped a Windstone with the UPS Store and insured for $1500 and they had no problem with it. They just said that it would need to be signed for due to the value. I now wonder if they were lying. That was the same store that talked me into getting extra packaging so that the sculp was triple boxed. I hate being taken advantage of.
You did right insuring for $1500. If the package got lost, you’d get the $1500 (or replacement cost if less). If the statue got broken, you would point out that it’s made of stone and the package must have been horribly mis-handled. They’d inspect the packaging and if it was adequate, chances are good that they’d pay up.
The absolute worst that could happen is that the Dragon got smashed and you only get $500.00. The extra insurance to send at $1500.00 rather than $500.00 is only $5.50. The difference between $500.00 and $1500.00 is… well, a fair bit. I could do a lot of arguing when that much money is at stake.
But another reason to insure your $1500 statue for $1500 is that it has gets a “High Value” barcode and you can be pretty sure it’s going to get handled with better than normal care by at least the pickup and delivery drivers. That’s worth $5.50 right there.
Oh. That would make sense. 😉
Happy Birthday! Party Hearty!
Wow, very nice! I’m not really a fan of black dragons, but he sure is a beauty. I hope he’s genuine too. I can’t wait to see what Melody posts about him.
dragonessjade wrote:All I want to know is what is up with the felt pad? It looks to me like it got wet or something. 😕
Although I cannot speak for the seller it looks like they might have put on the pad before spray painting around it (the gold underside). As for the spots on the underside, I don’t know.
I just thought it was a shame they didn’t keep the box, especially for a limited edition like that.

Interestingly, if you check the UPS contract you will find that the if you are shipping something fragile, the maximum insured value is $500.00. For a package containing glass (including ceramics and chinaware) the maximum is $50.00, though I’ve never had a claim denied on the grounds that a Windstone sculpture, even a candle-lamp, counts as ‘glass or ceramics’).
