I don’t know them, but send them this link and request double boxing. The visuals should help them.

Is that a repaint? The car I mean…

(the logo is covered in red too, and that’s usually from a repaint).

It would be a good deal, except having a car worth more then $5000 kills any chance of me ever getting a student loan.

To my knowledge it is a factory paint job. I have only seen one other like it. I purchased it in 1998/99 and the clear coat looks factory. The interesting thing with color is that is has the small reflective/glittery points in it, so it gives it real depth. It’s not a true red, but it’s not burgundy either. All the Firebirds I have seen have the logo covered in paint as well. I believe the older models are the ones that didn’t.

          Here are some examples:

Really? I always thought Bambi was a Disney original. How does the story differ?

                      Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone has seen one of these small Egyptian gold plated pewter figurines in a local store. The online store with these pics doesn’t know when they will get them in again.

                      Anubis:

I used to see them on Ebay about a year or two ago, but no such luck right now. I’m looking for them brand new, preferably in the box. I would be happy to pay for the figurine, shipping and a finders fee. I was looking for two of each.

Just PM if you are interested. Any leads for online stores that have them would be great too.

Personally I’ve learned, things are only worth what someone will pay for them. And knowing when to hold ’em or fold ’em is a real tough call.

IOWs don’t sweat the little stuffs. You sold it, it’s gone, you had you’re (very good) reasons and there was no guarantee that you would have been the one to receive that major profit from it.

Very well said. You just never know. I should note, that since that time (about 1.5 years now) I have parted with a lot of other belonging because me and my family had just too much. Still sorting through storage garages.

When I think of the amount of time, money, resources that went into acquiring, packing/unpacking, shipping, storing, etc. that stuff it just amazes me. We could have replaced most of it 3 times over.

In the end, as a collector I do regret it, but to be totally honest I had/have so much going on in my life that it was just one small part. Learning to let physical possessions go and knowing that it allows for more important things in your life (family, time for your dreams, etc) has been a lesson I have been working on for quite a while. I’m still deprogramming myself from the way my parents thought about stuff. You know, “they don’t make them like that anymore” or “you couldn’t just go out any buy that again”. It’s been a tough haul and I still have more to go through, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I’m looking forward to the freedom that will come with less stuff. Life is about learning.

                          I have about 3 regrets:

1.) Selling my Black Grand Unicorn. Not only did it nearly double in value a year or two later, but I found out it had a different tail from the regular grands. I wasn’t thinking too clearly I guess because at the time I had just finished school, was in a temp job, had student loans coming up, was moving to a newer house, and my dad was terminally ill. Oh well, live a learn.

2.) Way over paid for a dragon. Knew it at the time, but thought I could resell at a later time with only a little loss. Now the market has tanked so, probably 50% loss. Again, live and learn.

3.) Not buying a tan griffin for $60 when I had the chance when they were in stores (brand new!!). I have one now, but paid waaayyy more. Ugh. I still like him though.

                          —————————————————-

Nothing however, is not without a silver lining. I’m glad I now have a Emerald Cat Wizard, Mother Kirin and Wizard Retreat Candle Lamp. Two of these I paid very good money for since they had been retired for awhile. I enjoy them enough that there really isn’t any regrets. So I guess it works out. 🙂

                          My $1.05 worth.

Yes, please continue them if you wish. I enjoy trying for them, but it’s really nice to see who they go to and the response from the winner. I also like the idea that those who can’t afford your beautiful pieces on Ebay can still have a chance OOAKs or special test paints.

Sorry to hear about your friends family. That is so sad. Transporting a body in a Uhaul? I am pretty sure that is not legal. 😯

Two bodies actually, her brother and her father both died in the crash.

I have no idea what the legalities are, but I imagine they are going to have to come up with the money to fly them to Arizona. But I don’t know, I just know what I was told.

I personally think that if the rest of the family want the bodies to be buried in Arizona, then they should help with the expenses, if not, then I would get them cremated, then take them over to be intered, but I’m practical like that.

I’m sorry to hear about her loss.

I don’t think it would really matter to Uhaul or not. When my father passed away we needed to bury him in another state and to have him transported by the funeral home would have been close to $800. We ended up transporting him in the casket in our mini-van. I do think you need to have some paperwork from the funeral home stating that the body has been prepared for burial, but I don’t believe it is illegal in anyway.
