Sorry they’re giving you the runaround, BD!! I had an eye on that one myself, but spent all my money on a Sun Dragon so I had to let him be. I hope you get him!
I wonder if he is the Dark Peacock version or the Light? What’s “Rainbow version” mean?
I think Rainbow version is another name for the Light Peacock because sometimes the light peacock version has a lot of color variation to it than the dark peacock version.I want to apologize for the confusion. I called it the rainbow version, but it’s not really the term collectors use. Usually it’s the “light” peacock version (as Pegasi pointed out – thanks!). Here are some visuals:

Hope this helps.
bayoudragon wrote:Angel, this was an actual store, not a website. If it would have been a website, I would have used paypal to pay for it, and I would not have had this problem with my check. I still have to get the darn thing cancelled (on Monday).
I bet any money, the statue probably would have broke during shipment. I have a feeling that’s why I wasn’t supposed to get this one. At least, that’s what I keep telling myself. 😆
I’m sorry you had such a bad experience at the store. It sounds like the typical experience of several shops, where it’s fine if you walk in to buy, but buying over the phone/online never works out.
If it’s any consolation, I once had a great buy on about 3 pieces from a tattoo shop (online). I placed the order (and paid) and after a week I didn’t hear anything. I emailed about 3 times and finally got a reply that my money had been refunded – with no explanation, nor apology, etc. Someone else who had called in got the pieces! Apparently they didn’t mind listing the pieces online, but couldn’t be bothered with it when they got an order.
Just as well, I got better deals on other pieces later. I am sorry about the cancellation fees. That sucks. 🙁

Their “Engineer’s Guide to Cats” is good too.
My $1.05 worth…
If the conference will help with promotions at work, then go to the conference. However, if it’s only to enhance you job knowledge, but won’t be considered directly in raises/promotions then just plan to go next year and get some free prize(s) from the raffle. Also, if money is tight, then that might be the deciding factor anyway.
Good luck!
Some diversion on Tuesday….
As of Tuesday (4/5) morning (7:45am Pacific time) I had responded to all inquiries. If I didn’t send you requested info, please PM me again.
Good luck to all in your searches!
Hi All!
I stumbled across a store with quite a few retired pieces. Prices range from release price up to Ebay prices. All appeared to be pristine with tags. I don’t know if they keep boxes.
I wasn’t able to remember all the prices (so don’t hold me to these) but this is what I remember.
I only ask that those collectors who REALLY want and “need” these request store info. I’ve been seeing a lot of new releases going to Ebay immediately for extremely high prices and while not a crime, it limits first pic to those who really want to add these to their collection. Thanks for your understanding.
All in glass case – smoke free shop (it does have incense).
Emerald Siamese Cat Wizard $289
Griffin Candle Lamp $87
White Mother and Baby Pegasus (don’t remember – seemed to be release price range)
Peacock Oriental Dragon (rainbow version) $139 – Very nice in person. I saw a smudge on the crystal ball but looks mint otherwise. (I have no money for this! 😥 )
White Male Dragon and White Young Dragon (couldn’t see the price)
Rainbow Young Dragon
Dragon Bookends (not sure if these are retired – didn’t see price)
Gargoyle Dragon (large)
Castle of the Merry Ghost
Mermaid
Peacock Mouse WizardThey had a few others that I can’t remember now. The store knows that several of these pieces are retired so be aware. I’m also not sure if this store will ship.
Good Luck!
Very cute!
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday!
Here is a comparison pic. Might help to see the difference.
Congrats to SPark and everyone else tying the knot! (Gee, and I haven’t a thing to wear to the weddings.) 😀
Oh WOW! I always loved those! One of the holy grails of Windstonia…..
*moths fly from wallet* 😥
Best wishes on your sale, well worth the money.

LOL! I know how you feel. There have been a few pieces in the past I would love to have gotten if the funds had been there. But don’t give up hope, someone else might list a Birman later on.
