Outstanding work Kyrin! You are really impressive when it comes to repairs.
February 10, 2008 at 9:33 pm in reply to: If you could choose a Production Secret Keeper color? #662534I love Peacock. Even though it’s retired, I would still love to see it in production as a secret keeper. I would prefer the older more subtle version more purple and champagne rather then the newer, brighter versions.
February 10, 2008 at 9:31 pm in reply to: Suggestions for getting mother away from abusive husband? #620822I wish you and your family did not have to go through this. Good luck to you. I hope everything goes well and your mother stands her ground.
Maybe this well give you some hope. My Mother-In-law stayed with her abusive husband for thirty years. He pushed her down the stairs and broke her leg and that was finally the last straw. She got in touch with a shelter, got a restraining order, and finally got a divorce. She even got money out of him and is much happier now. If she could do it, then your Mom can too. Best of luck to you.

It’s somewhat rare. I desperately want one. I am only missing a mouse wizard to complete my collection and I want it in white. I can’t remember having ever seen one on Ebay.
Kyrin wrote:Danse Macabre was also good, too much going on to concentrate on the sex bits, a lot of monster politics, and plot. And Anita and Jean Claude finally told Richard where they stand among other things, I about cheered.
His emotional crap has nearly gotten them killed one too many times and they pretty much told him they’d had enough.

I would have to disagree with you about DM. That book pretty much had no plot. Just a lot of talking and boring sex, and then angsting about the sex. I ended up skimming the book. As a matter of fact, DM was the final straw that made me stop reading Anita Blake.
Hate the rainbows. HATE! It’s the only production color I would never even consider owning. Not super fond of the golds or the em-peas, but really hate the rainbows.

Lovely!
She’s a cutie. Congrats!

I’ve heard a few people say that “The Harlequin” was better then “Danse Macabre” and more like her earlier books. Maybe if the next book gets the same kind of reviews I might go back to reading them.
The closest thing I could think of to what your describing is a Hippogriff. Not exactly what you’re describing buy pretty close.
I used to buy every Anita Blake book the day it came out. After “Narcissus in Chains” I stopped buying them and I stopped reading the books after “Danse Macabre.”
I am NOT a fan of the auduer/arduer (however she spells it.) Can’t stand Anita anymore, too self-righteous and hypocritical. Too many boring sex scenes, not enough story.
If you want to try this series, personally I would stop at Obsidian Butterfly.
However, I still really enjoy the Merry Gentry series. I’m really looking forward to “Swallowing Darkness.” (That’s a terrible title.) My favorite guard is Rhys. I like the way he understands the modern world better then the other guards. I think that would be an advantage in a King because he would be able to deal with the outside world better then the others. REa

*blushes* I’m sorry, that was probably me…I got the last one. Truthfully, I wondered if my order would be completed or if somebody else would get it.
You got the last one? I thought I did. Oh well. I guess it doesn’t really matter. Congrats on your good luck! 🙂
Mine should be here either tomorrow or Monday. 😀 😀

I can’t wait until they get out some more of the silvers and greens.
You do know they are planing on painting a peacock curlie right? You can’t buy an EmPea curled anymore because that color curled has been retired, along with russet/red flame and white.I didn’t hear that! Hooray! Peacock lovers unite and demand curlies now!
