I didn’t keep a close enough eye on these auctions. Does anyone remember what these were going for? Is it a reasonable asking price or are they way off the mark? Any help would be appreciated.

Then I went to Ebay, and someone had the special signed Red Fire dragons on sale and I got the hatching dragon.
And Koishi held onto Winter Sun for me so I was able to buy her as well!! (Thank you so much)
Luckily for me all may paychecks for the last few months were tax-free. Saw I missed a lot of silver dragons though. Drat!
Oh, you got the hatcher? I lucked out and got the Male, but I missed the mother. Not enough for both, but I’m still very happy. Now I have a male in every color made so far. 😀
I put a bid in for the male as well. Glad to see he went to a forum member!
I was really happy to get the hatcher. I kept missing these dragons the first time around.

Signed! Hope for the best!
Really enjoyed the film myself. I also thought it was much better then The Golden Compass. The actor who played the twins did an excellent job of making them seem like two different people. The storyline was adapted very well from the book. I would highly recommend it.
Not to be a spoilsport, but would there be a copyright problem with painting something like that?
It’s a cool idea though. I’m especially fond of the celestial Kirin.
No microhumans for me. I have absolutely no interest in kids other then to spoil my niece and numerous nephews. Never really did. My husband and I figure if we ever decide we want children, we will adopt.
It’s hard to have kids when you are female and in the military. Plus, when you’re an officer, it’s almost like being a babysitter 24 hours a day seven days a week. You’ve got so many 18-19 year olds who are out from home for the first time ever and they don’t all make good decisions. That leaves you and the senior non-comm to clean up the messes.
Seriously though Serenity, Boo is so great. It’s like you reached into my husband’s head and picked out the color scheme that would fit him perfectly. Every one of his favorite colors are in it. It’s pretty much his dragon now. I just wanted to let you know Boo is well loved.
Wow! There’s a lot of blue in that Peacock Male. Very nice. Congrats on your new dragons.
Love the bronze! My husband says it’s his favorite next to Boo.
It kind of looks like the excess antiquing that one of the batches of VF fledges had. I’m guessing you’re not going to be able to get it off without hurting the paint scheme.

Yeah I will give him a good inspection before I hand over my payment. He lives about an hour away from me, so I think it will work out nicely that way and then I dont have to worry about him packaging it.
And here is the picture he sent me;
In this pic he looks BLACKHe does look very dark in the picture but I figured it was probably just the lighting. I’ve seen some pictures before where they looked unusually dark, BT’s Lost World on ebay has a picture of a peacock emperor that looks similar.
RiDuvessa wrote:He looks darker in that picture then most Peacock Emperors. I wonder if it’s the light. You’ve got a really good find! Congrats!
Thanks! And yeah, I’m assuming it was the lighting, but we’ll see when I meet up with the guy- probably tomorrow.
Honestly, I would love to see a production color in something that dark. That’s why I loved Mulberry Wine so much. I know we have Black Gold, but it’s not quite the same.

That’s the truth! DFAS (Defense Financial and Accounting Services) screws up our pay pretty regularly. I once got underpaid for 18 months! And then it took another year to get my backpay. Another time they overpaid me, and the very next paycheck they took it all back. The whole thing. I didn’t get paid at all. I was lucky I had paid attention and saved the paycheck so I could pay my bills and such.
You don’t work for the French Camp office, do you?
We get contracts that go through DFAS.No, I’m actually a Naval Officer. I work at Point Mugu NAWC, CA. All of our pay goes through DFAS.
tfsculptures wrote:d’oh! thats wierd about the poads’ eyes! the first batch had the pale blue eyes, same as in the silver male. i wonder if the whole new batch of silver poads got those darker eyes! that will certainly be a way tell the two batches apart in the future- the different eye colors…
the silver male is a really beautiful piece i just got one too and the variety of tone in the silver is awesome. i’m not sure about other folks, but mine is so dark on the body scales just under the wings that it looks almost black! i tried to photograph it but he is such a bugger to get a pic of- he just blows out with shiny-ness.
congrats on your pieces, you got some real good ones there! 😉I was wondering about the eyes myself. I imagine the whole batch is like that. If not, then I have a special one! 😉
You’re absolutely right about trying to take pictures. That’s why I tried taking it outside. It doesn’t sound like my silver is quite as dark as yours. It has a dark streak of silver that starts just under the wing and follows the tail. It’s almost like a dorsal stripe. You can kind of see it in the picture. Overall it’s a very handsome piece.
