that’s a green eyed poad– mine photographed the same when I took the shot I posted in the other thread. The green is more peridot than emerald green.
The poad is a green eyed one (like I said, not the best picture, but it’s all I could do while sick -g-) and the eyes are a bit darker in person, but they hit me more as peridot than deep green.
Yep, that’s Liam the fledge from Emerald; my first and adored fledgeling. π And the Stablemates are the ones I just got from Target and have yet to figure where else to place. π
Glad the pic is helping. π
I know, the picture isn’t the best, but I put the poad between a fledgeling and a curl. Hope this helps those wondering about size
Greater Basilisk wrote:They come with Poad cards? Ahhh – as if the Poads themsevles weren’t enough to collect, now we’ve got another incentive.
The card is really nice; I like it better than a certificate, as I can actually put the card next to the poad. It’s signed, too, as is the poad, and you get an amusing fact on the card about how poads communicate, and that they come from Melody’s comic, Reptangle(tm).
The poads are larger than I thought; I’d wondered at the price myself, but they’re a LOT bigger than a curl and quite substantial.

Glad you got one tyger π post some pictures of him in your collection!
Not sure how many or if any are left, but here was the post about them; you can see if any are left. π

I’ll try and take a pic of Pooter the Poad when I get home tonight. π They remind me so darn much of my amazon parrot with that ‘raised eyebrow’ stare they have.
Oh, and the feet are cute, not ugly π
Oh lords, they’re ADORABLE!
They’ve got BUTTS!!
no really, wee tiny hineys. :: laughing ::And there is a Poad(tm) card that comes with them too…
I really need another now, and I SWORE I’d only order the one.

Who is your veterinarian? *bengals are often rather goofy because of the breeding they’ve gone through in the last 20-30 years as a breed* You’re lucky that you haven’t had any health problems, bengals are also notorious for having those since birth….a breeding thing once again… Here’s to many happy long years!
We just moved from one coast to the other, and Brini was given a full once over afore we moved, but I fould a wonderful feline only clinic — The Cat Clinic of Orange county that is here in Costa Mesa, so we’ll be hitting there in a few weeks for a nice once over.
The only health problem she has had is her extreme picky eating habits — we’re talking a cat who refuses everything except her kibble and the occasional lap or three of kitty food gravy. Will not touch treats, and even ignores human food. I’d love to get like 2-3 pounds on her, truth be told, but you just can’t force food on a cat.
Her breeder was a really good at breeding not just for type, but for temper and health as well. ANd hell, she’s no longer my boss, so trust me, if I disliked her, I’d say it. Linda took the time to only have 1-2 litters a year MAX, and even does rescue now that she is no longer breeding. My little girl has a tail fault that is too major for the ring, but it’s just one of those things that won’t hurt her healthwise.
Oh, and Brini is goofy, trust me; and I work hard to explain to everyone who admires her that Bengals are *not* for everyone, and that I’m lucky in that I am housebound, as I can engage her with things to do, as does her fuzzy ‘brother’ Hunter. π
Happy Birthday; may you get everything you have ever desired, and all the time to enjoy it!
Hi again!
Thank you all so very much for the votes. I know, it’s kinda silly, but I really want her to be in the actual running. π
Brini is a Bengal, Wolfen; my boss a few years back used to breed them, and when my cat had to be put to sleep after a year and a half fighting renal failure, she waited a month or three, and then gently offered me a young girl from her cattery.
She’s a very wierd cat, and loads of fun, and again, we both thank you deeply for the votes!
Hi!
If you’ve the time and inclination, I’d deeply appreciate you taking a second to vote for my cat, Brini for “cutest cat in Orange County”; she knows she’s adorable, but I’d love to get the 100 votes needed by tomorrow (March 26th) at 5PM PT so she can be in the final running.

Just give her a grade — yeah, I gave her a 10, but heck, that’s not mandatory. π
Vote early and often π
Thanks!
I had to have a green eyed poad… the whole butternut tabby with green eyes reminds me of one of my cats when he was a pudgy wee baby… except for the whole beak thing… Hunter never did have a beak that we know about, at any rate. π
WindstoneCollector wrote:I wasn’t around when it was big, or maybe I was too young to remember it…But didn’t they have dung throwing contests? Like the “Turd Toss” or something way back? π π I better never have one of my cowpies tossed around here…and they deffinately don’t look like turds…I have cats, and they don’t poop those…And until it was well dried out and seasoned googly eyes or not, it most certainly wouldn’t be endearing. π π
That is unless you enjoy the smell of poop.. π
Years ago, as some sort of a sick joke, a friend sent me a birthday gift of a “cowpie” — made in Wisconsin, this ws a “poop” of chocolate (no really, I could and WOULD not make this up) and coconut and chips and nut bits.
Came in a big blue box with this cow on the cover looking damn pleased with herself.
I adore chocolate, and if you closed your eyes, this smelled like GOOD chocolate… but so help me, I never COULD eat it. It just looked, well, WRONG.
::shudder:: waste of good candy just for a joke, that was.

And since I figured why not froogle it… yes, Charlie is still being produced, by Revlon. π
