Ok, sooo…I get to post an update for DDVM since she is going to be on the train for a couple days going home and without internet.

So, yesterday, Pam (DDVM), Sue (her friend from Hawaii), Louis and I, all met up at Disneyland for a day of fun and merriment at the Happiest Place on Earth! They had already gotten there and rented Pam one of those electric scooter chair things, so she would actually last the whole day and be able to breathe. It was quite amusing getting around with that thing, and Pam tried to take out some of the infrastructure at Space Mountain and the kiddie rides at Fantasy land! 😆 😆 We all got quite a crack up.

thats awesome i did the same thing at the Wal-Mart taking out racks of kids clothes LOL . She needs a spiked bumper and pirate flag on that thing

The Tonight Show was great! I was in the second row by the band so I had a great view. Jay Leno is really mellow and personable – he seems like a regular guy. He didn’t seem to like being made up. And Betty White was on in the first segment – I love her! She got a standing ovation. The only bad thing was my friend, Sue, was back at the hotel with food poisoning. It’ll be awhile before she orders shrimp alfredo or goes to the Rainforest Cafe.

And for the best news – I MET WYLAND! We got to Santa Monica and went to the dinner. He walked into the room and came right over to me! I got to chat with him for a couple of minutes. And then he came back later to take a picture. Sue has the picture on her camera – and we lost the connector to the computer on the trip. But once she gets home she should be able to send me the picture so I can post it. I also met and got a picture with Jane Seymour.

It was one of the best nights of my life. Thanks again to everyone who helped make it possible! You guys are the best!

that’s great im glad you got to meet him and have some pictures too . sounds like your having a hell of a time . Have fun on the rest of your trip

Exactly! If I could do it I would, but where am I supposed to get this “lump sum” to try that.

I could MAYBE pull a grand out of my butt right now if I had to, but that would MAYBE pay off my Target card if anything! Then I still have 4 other credit cards to swallow that are all between 8 and 6 grand each! HAHAHA! Yea right! Then I’d also have no savings for emergencies. No no, bad bad!

please stay away from credit cards in the future , i really hate them sure they can help your credit rating but they can also screw you royal like they did us . Do what we do if you don’t like carrying cash we have a debit credit card with our bank that come straight from our account . the only way we get charged is with using certain ATM’s luckily we can us 7-11 with no charges for some reason

id be careful . I was good friends with the IT guy at CAT and he told me that every thing that goes on with any computer on the server is documented and saved . Since you had your run in with the supervision i would stay clear of BB’s at work or any websites for that matter . i know a couple places including CAT would fire you for just looking at Email .

My boyfriend Shaun just got fired from his job at Home Depot today (we work at the same one together which just makes things even more difficult) Two weeks before Christmas! No write up, no verbal discussion, just straight termination after being there for 6 years!

So the *first* thing you guys need to do is have Shaun go to the Unmployment Office, or whatever it’s called up there, and tell them the situation and see if they would consider it to be unfair dismissal. He may be able to fight it, and if so may be eligible for unemployment benefits.

*Then* you need to go out and try to find a replacement job for him.

I wish you all the best. This is a nightmare for you right now.

i hope he can to , but an OSHA violation is grounds for dismissal. we used to have OSHA people all the time come into the Caterpillar plant i worked at and fire people on the spot with out the authority of the supervisor ..its legal but i agree one site should be over looked especially if it wasnt handed down by an OSHA thug. i do understand their ethic though ,since it only takes one violation to kill some one in the shop .

I hope he can get another job soon , with 6 years and certification he should find something . best of luck
