Thank you, guys!
I’m a little late in posting this, but just wanted to say, Copper’s jewelry safely arrived and is gorgeous! 😀

I agree. The Peacocks, Emeralds, Rubies, Golds etc are all beautiful, but they’re also bright. There hasn’t been a run of earthy dragons since the old browns and greens, and I’d love to eventually see another earthy color. A lap dragon would be lovely! And the fledgling would be cute enough to hurt.
Edit: I wonder how blue or grey eyes and blue interference rather than lavender on the wings would affect it?
Aw, thanks guys. And welcome to the forum MonaLS. 🙂
Aside from (and probably after) this trade, I’m open to taking separate commissions, either for money or barter. So if someone can’t make this trade, they can give me a holler.
I made a dragon mask, actually still have it, but while it’s visually striking, it’s not very three-dimensional, has poor peripheral vision and squishes the wearers nose. So, it would probably come under the heading of C. simpler mask and fancier critter, or I’d need to design a totally new one. My computer attempted to impersonate a wood router so I’m typing on another, but I’ll see what I can do about pictures if anyone’s curious.
Yay! Tis lovely stuff indeed. 😀
Regarding the available commission, if anyone has a question about what can be done, please don’t hesitate to drop me a note. 🙂
I agree, this fellow looks glorious! Natural, but very, very fantastic.
Ack! Excellent point. XD
In that case, I could offer a commission in sheet metal, probably copper. Since that doesn’t say much about scale, the tradee could pick one of the below options.
A. A fairly fancy critter in copper around the size of a house cat
B. Two critters in copper a little smaller than a house cat that are simple, with few technical challenges.
C. A metal animal mask in aluminum, and/or copper with brass highlights if requested, (I make one heck of a bobcat mask) and a reasonably straightforward copper animal that’s roughly 7″ h by 7″ long (it could be longer one way, and shorter the other, so a leopard stalking long and low could be 4″ by10″) I could also offer a simpler mask, and a fancier critter.
D. Three or four smaller 7″ by 7″ copper animals, or roses. Number would depend on the complexity.
I can do anything from pets with specific markings, to fantasy animals. Angles and flat planes turn out better than curves and sinuous shapes, so a walking wolf or a sitting griffin would turn out better than a coiled snake or a squishy panda.
Here are some photos.
Please note, these are just examples of my work to demonstrate what the commission types are like. These are not the trade offer. Only the wolf is still available.
Here’s an aluminum mask. This wolf is one of my plainer ones, but is also light and fits well.
Here’s a greyhound gargoyle. Scale isn’t shown, but something a little smaller but fancier would probably qualify under A.
Here’s three roses. If there was a fourth, it would be a good representative of D.
And here’s a copper cat. The nose on this one bugs me. But it’s still a good example of one half of B.
So, I could offer one of the four commission types, A. B. C. or D. depending on the next tradee’s choice. Any questions, just ask. 🙂
Dang, those are quality pieces. Don’t have an adequate trade, but my compliments.
I think I’ll skip this one. He’s plenty handsome, but he just doesn’t ‘click’ with me. So I’ll leave him to his wilder fans, which he seems to have plenty of. 😀
Oh, my. Murphy’s law is spectacular sometimes… XD
That’s probably the best custom Breyer sculpt I’ve seen! 😮 Can’t bid, but am very, very impressed.
49ER wrote:I tell you what, though, I have been to a couple of police auctions, and people there will bid on things that have been confiscated or found, I suppose, but they will get so carried away, just trying to WIN, that they will bid more than these items would cost BRAND NEW! Not only that, when it comes to the electronics, such as TV’s, we don’t even get to see them plugged in, to see if they actually work! After going to 2 of those, I decided to never attend any of them ever again! XD
Aieee! That’s scary! Funny, but scary. One thing that often works in live auctions is to ‘jump’ the bid amount by a large sum, instead of just the minimum. Several times doing that gets other bidders thinking, instead of bidding on autopilot. Assuming, of course, that the item is worth it. Live auctions can be worth it, except as you described, when they really, really aren’t. 😆
Such handsome critters! Congrats guys! 😀
Calculating the absolute highest I want to pay and bidding that amount sometime in the last hour and then walking away is my technique. It’s hard to keep a cool head, and I’m usually astonished when I win, but it’s sensible, even with those drawbacks. Snipers either run into the brick wall of little time combined with my reserve price, or pay more than I am willing to. So, it’s fair.
Of course since I calculate shipping into the amount I want to pay, that means my jaw really drops when I win. 😮
Assuming that my family, pets, heirlooms, houseplants (they’re a little like pets), autographed books, patterns and favorite hand tools were out of harms way yet I oddly forgot my Windstones… (fickle and evil fire indeed! 😮 )
then I’d have to grab,
1. Griffykins, my soft feathered PYO griffin
2. my Scratching Dog #17
3. If I was allowed to cheat and use my teeth, or put two in one hand, I’d also nab Nova, my PYO dragon from Koishii. Not that I could carry Nova in my teeth, but the Itchy Dog might fit…I’d dearly miss my Peacock mother and Emerald OW, (and all the others) but those could be replaced.
Alas, it’s past the caliber of Windstones I can part with. But man, things are getting fancy!
