That piece will be particularly difficult to acquire, alas!

Oh good lordie I can relate.
You could have like the perfect ride to work, good traffic, clear weather, the tunes jammin’ on your car stereo…then you GET to work and fifteen people at once need your help with something, or want to ask you a question, or you call a carrier on the phone (I work for life insurance) and spend twenty minutes on hold listening to crappy elevator music.

Yeah. I know those days! I feel your pain! XD

    Here I am! πŸ˜€

Whoops, oh wait, no, that’s my bunny “Pixie”, who thinks her name is “Bun-Bun” because I call her that all the time.

    Ok THIS is me…

That horse is Shatter, one of my favorites. πŸ˜€ I love him to death. As you might be able to tell, I adore Western horseback riding.

Wee, b/g male, here I come!

in reply to: sexual harassment #780476

Stuff like this just makes me so mad I really have no appropriate words to express myself. What other people is saying is true, though, this is assault, not harassment.

I got assaulted once when I was about twelve, a guy almost tried to force me to perform, well, a sexual act on him. It was the father of one of my friends. I got away thankfully, manage to squirm from him and run out the door.
When my parents confronted the family they lied about everything. Since we had no evidence there was nothing we could do at that point.

I wish you the best of luck in this and hope that worm gets what’s coming to him.

The names are similar so it can be confusing. The PYO is just a “Keeper” where as the big gal is a “Secret Keeper”.

Congrats on the sale! He’s so beautiful I wish I could have taken him!

in reply to: Michael Whelan Big Dragon HAND SIGNED EDIT: moved to ebay #780046

YIKES. They sound like they break far too easily!
I put it on eBay and offered local pickup if anyone lives near me who bids on it, because really, that might be the best and safest way.
If I do ship this thing I pray to God I can package it well enough so it doensn’t get further damage!

I wish this was the one I’m needing to replace. I broke a back fin off my regular Fortress one and can’t fine a NICE replacment one that has not gotten broken. I can’t afford to try again for some time but I got 3 off e-bay that all got broken on their way to me. I have the artist edition fo the Fortress one too.

Dragons4Life, the SK is not available as a PYO; it is a PYO Keeper that you can purchase for $40. Both have their paws raised to hold things (which is why they’re called Keepers), but they’re two different sculpts.

Yes I did understand that. I realize there is no actual SK that is PYO, but rather a SK in a smaller size for PYO.
    Still, thanks for the clarification!

    bump…

Well I’ve been made an offer, so this is a closed deal. πŸ™‚

If it falls through for whatever reason, the blades will go up on eBay.

in reply to: Set of Michael Whelan domed dragons EDIT: taking offers #779985

Well it’s on eBay, so I’ll take when I can get for it.
To be honest I have no idea why I never completed the set! πŸ˜•

I thought Dave made a very generous offer with the gold dragon for a complete set, but alas, I don’t have a complete set. πŸ™ So I’ll just sell the 10 I have and use the money towards another Windstone of the future! πŸ˜€

Awww what a cutie! πŸ˜‰ He is just to die for!

The rest of your collection is quite impressive as well!
You have a flion, lucky you!! πŸ˜€

in reply to: Question about Secret Keepers #780566

OH! *dies from dragon overload* I can see what you mean! I had no idea the PYO SK was so much smaller! 😳

But WOW, I was hoping the SK was truly the biggest of all, and there it is!
What a lovely photo by the way, thanks so much for clearing that up for me!

*sigh* Ok so I here I go back to saving for one…hm, that might take me until… I’m about 45 years old? πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

The keeper pyo is on the left, and the Secret Keeper on the right.

    Hope that works! πŸ˜€

in reply to: Question about Secret Keepers #780562

I saw a picture recently which compared the expensive Secret Keeper to a male dragon, and was astonished to see the size was not much different! In fact, the Emporerer dragon, if I’m not mistaken, still reigns supreme in size comparison.

That being said, why is the Emporer dragon priced in the high $300 range but the Keeper is $850? In other words, what makes the Secret Keeper the mac daddy of Windstone dragons? 8)

This is not a complaint by any means, I seriously just want to know the difference. Don’t spare the details, I love details! πŸ˜› πŸ˜†

in reply to: How old are Windstone Collectors #565346

I think my first Windstone was around 15 or so. I remember clearly getting my young green dragon when I was 18 at Medieval Times! I freakin’ LOVED that present, my mom gave me the money to buy it! πŸ˜€

Then when I started working I was in Woodbridge Mall one day (in NJ) and I believe it was some kind of Hallmark or gift store I walked by. I saw something green and shiny “smiling” back at me with a leg lifted as if scratching an itch.
That was Jasper, a jade scratcher, and I am still as excited about him now as I was then, some 14 years ago!!

Windstones are awesome and I’ll never get bored of them, because I love dragons and fantasy creatures. They have been with me that way since age 5, when I old enough to start reading and understanding about them.
Most little girls were all giggly over pegasus or unicorns, but I chose the dragon as my favorite fantasy beast! 8) πŸ˜†

Don’t get me wrong, I love pegasi and unicorns too. And griffins.
But dragons just make me smile in ways I can’t fully comprehend.

Welp, that’s my story! Are you bored yet? πŸ˜† πŸ˜†
