Wow that looks like it’s fabulous! I would’ve never thought of adding booze (and it makes Colin happy, he likes to cook with dark beer, wine, whatever’s on hand).
I make venison stew in mine, though I suspect you could substitute with beef. Are you okay with approximations or do you need measurements? I am one of those people that cooks and never even glances at the measuring cups… x_x
Approximations are cool! I’d probably mix stuff up anyway, I tend to make recipes my own, but a slow cooker is totally an alien tool to me! XD

Got my wedding dvd from the photographer! Yay! I also got my driver’s license with my new name on it, I think I bounced around the house I was so excited about it, lol!
yey for wedding stuff! mine was pretty quick but changing my name for work was quite a pain….
Really? My work was pretty simple… “So how do you spell it? Like this? Ok, done…” wish I could say the same for my provincial health card and credit card. Bank was easy, credit card, so not. Haha.

If you have declared yourself as common-law on all applicable documents, then it is as if you were married (more or less), in Canada. Wasn’t aware that it wasn’t the same in the states. Kinda forces your hand, doesn’t it?
I asked my husband to marry me… and even if he is more traditional – try to keep the question popping low key (it was just me and him, lying in bed snuggling, nothing special – I just said “Hey, you wanna get married?” and that was it), it would reduce your nervousness and his awkwardness at being the ask-ee, rather then the ask-er. Also, it leaves things open if he doesn’t want to say yes at the time, rather then being pressured to in a fancy set-up.
