Apparently at least two people need her REALLY bad, good for the seller!

So how much do the emrald moms run regularly, and How rare are they?

Hey! one of my uncles was born there! 😀

I played with my little ponies, transformers, lego, hotwheels cars and my stuffed animals.

One of the best menories is of stealing the downspout pipes and creating “waterslides” for hotwheels and any other toy that would fit down the pipe. Dad also build us a huge sandbox, a playhouse, let us dig/excavate in the garden and would make the best “slip ‘n slides” out of construction poly, a couple of tent pegs and the garden hose.:D As kids we used to live outside in the summer and even most of the winter!

WOW! Cool! So are you like part Burmese?

Hey, Drogo, will we be able to watch the fight somehow?

Well no, but I think they will sell dvd’s of it after the event, in which case I might be able to upload it somehow. It’s just a local production, (not the UFC or anything) and the event venue hasn’t been finalized yet. I just have to get ready. 😈

I stayed at my fighting weight for almost 3 years but didn’t end up fighting because of work. I let myself go this last summer, just lifting weights, not doing cardio, and hitting the Texas buffets…so the next month’s gonna suck for me… 😈

Well she got back to me, and we are working out a partial refund price. Looks like she’ll work with me on it…
She also stated that it has never been displayed and was in the box, so maybe it was like that from the factory?

Will there be more brown hatching kinglets &/or emperors. I was kinda bummed that they were sold out. Please…please…please…please… 🙂

Yeh, some of the Bowen sculptures I used to collect have detachable appandages.

Well I grew up in Burma (Myanmar), and we really didn’t have a Wal-Mart or a Toys R Us there, so I ended up making most of my toys also.

One of my coolest memories of growing up 3rd world is just flying kites all day long. I used to make diamond shapped kites out of old newspapers (propaganda rags) bamboo, and rice paste. Summers, after lunch I would just let my kite up and watch it bob and weave in the pale blue sky, until I fell asleep. Many times I wake up near twilight, and I would feel my kite struggling on the string, but couldn’t see it because of the dark. Sometimes my kites would drift away, perhaps with one of Melody’s dragons, but strangely I never felt a sense of loss. I just remember the freedom that I felt, just running around barefoot, with nothing but paddies and echos around.

I had lots of chickens and ducks also, and I sometimes play with them. My dad and I would also make paper planes and throw them back and forth. We didn’t have frisbees or footballs there 😆 We also have these rubberband battles, which made my mom furious. Good memories… 😀

Well the seller hasn’t responded yet.

I guess this is like my first ebay ‘dispute’ 😀 Need some advise. How much partial refund should I ask for? The total price ended up being $140. She made me add extra postage for double boxing. I really don’t want to send it back because it cost almost $20, in postage for packing and insurance.

“mint” means in the condition it was when it was new. If it says mint in the description, it should be like new.

I think a mint dragon should not even have dust built up on it. If it cleans up nice and you like it then maybe do like ski said.

Wow! Hey VD if you ever want to sell any of your dragons you have a buyer here! 😀

in reply to: Questions of Condition… #617394

Yeh, thanks for the advise guys! You guys are awesome! 😀

Yeh, I didn’t really want to seem too picky, or seem like I was trying to get the piece “cheaper” by holding feedback on them. I might leave it the way it is if I can’t get the exact paint from the factory, because I really cant see it on display. The line is on the ridge of the tail, and under the tail, so when on display, the shadow kinda cloaks it.

The funny thing is I don’t think the piece has ever been displayed before. There is no dust on it, so I think the damage happened when photographing it.

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one on here obsessed with condition. My wife was like “well whats wrong with it?’, like Im being too critical or something. She loves the dragons and I think it irks her fom me to point out their little ‘imperfections’.:D

Nice to know there are others just as insane 😈

“I think Momma Griffin was foolin’ around with the Black Male (when she was younger) and they had a PYO chick…
then maybe she decided to settle down with the Pearl Male and raise some more kids…. “

That can’t be true, because we all know, that “once you go black there ain’t no goin back!” 😀

Damn! You guys are torturing me with all that food talk! I have to drop almost 30 lbs. in a little ovver a month for a fight, and it sucks! I’m eating chicken breast and oatmeal 5 times a day with almost 2 gallons of water. Not to mention all the running! I’m hitting the buffet ASAP after the fight! 😈

Ok, I just got a white mother dragon on ebay that was supposed to be in MINT condition, but when I was dusting it off for display, I noticed she has some paint loss to the ridge of her tail, a scratch about 1/4 inches long and just a spot right below that. Other than that she is great! However I guess the scratch seems harsher than it is because it is a white dragon. There is no chip or anything. It is actually beautiful to look at, if you are not looking for faults.

That being said, is there such a thing as a MINT dragon? What do you guys consider, or settle for as actual MINT condition, for Windstones? I mean I used to collect comics and MINT is seen as more a theoretical state, because anyone can find fault in something.

I was just wondering because I emailed the seller back about the scratch, to see if we can work something out, and I’m thinking to myself, am I being too “anal”?

Another thing is that I’ve bought pieces directly from the factory, that has some ‘imperfections’ to them, but I tend to overlook them because they came right from the source. Also a dark scratch on white seems a lot worse than it is… 😥

I understand that if the ebay seller ran his auction as it having a small scratch, he would get a lot lower bids. Maybe he even overlooked it altogether, which is very possible. I guess I was just expecting it to be perfect… 😥

Oh, BTW what kind of paint can I use to patch it up? Like can I order their white paint directly from Windstone? I guess if I end up keeping it it would be my first attempt at repair… 😀
