Two weeks till the end of June… π
haha, I think it will be done this weekend and then I can send it off. But sorry to the person getting him. I tried to stick to the guidelines, but like I said it had a mind of it’s own.
June 12, 2007 at 5:18 pm #567288I’m sure it’ll look lovely anyway. π

June 12, 2007 at 9:41 pm #567290I’m just waiting to be absolutely certain that the clear coat on mine is dry before I mail it off. I plan to have it off by Thursday at the latest.
Can anyone tell me if the PYOs come wrapped in the paper and then put in the plastic bags or are they done the other way around? I can’t remember anymore. Want to package it right you know? π

I think they put it in the plastic bag and then wrap it in the paper. I know if you put the paper on it then the paint can rub off or it can also stick to the paint. And if that isn’t correct, then that is how I would do it.June 12, 2007 at 10:46 pm #567292Yup, bag is to keep them from sticking to the paper, which they otherwise tend to do. So bag first, then paper outside.
June 12, 2007 at 11:30 pm #567293Well!
My PYO swap piece would be DONE by now… but ARGH… I was spraying him… and the paint and pastels decided to LIFT and CRACKLE on me! ARGH! All over his scales! ::cries::
So I’m at an impase… trying to figure out what to do… strip him and start all over… or sand down and just repaint the scales. ::sighs::
June 13, 2007 at 4:19 am #567294Oh no! What a nuisance, Lady Brooklyn! π
June 13, 2007 at 7:04 am #567295That is terrible! How annoying! *Yay! Done! No… Not done* π
June 13, 2007 at 3:27 pm #567296Yeah… I’m seriously annoyed with it…
I know what happened too… I was using one can of clear acrylic sealer RIGHT down to the vapors… and I guess that layer of sealer just didn’t jive with the new layer from the FRESH and NEW can. π
I really should be careful about that I suppose… This is the second time this has happened… though last time it was on a small spot of a horse’s leg…
Unfortunately… I thought I had uploaded the pic (it’s really neat looking actually!) but apparently not. π

That really sucks. All that work and you have to do it again. But scales only mean 2 sculptures. heheJune 13, 2007 at 5:39 pm #567298::snickers:: I was wondering if someone would pick that up! π
June 13, 2007 at 5:58 pm #567299I took my box to the post office today so someone will be getting a package in a few days. π I just hope they like it.
June 14, 2007 at 3:36 am #567300Of course they will. π
June 17, 2007 at 5:36 am #567301I got my swap today! An awesome surprise coming home from work π
He came from Arlla! He’s a cardinal gryphon :3 I love him! I’m specially fond of his face and beak <3
I sent a note to Arlla to see if she had any photos she could put up… since we all know mine are terrible π
But here are mine to hold off for hers. These photos are terrible… but they were even more terrible outside with a black backdrop! π―He now sits next to my [new!! Just tonight!] Cat Wizard π
