Gosh that kirin sure is pretty!! I wish he had red eyes like the orientals but that’s just pipe dreamin’!
I might suggest .. mind you I am not experienced enough to know, but I think the copper patina looks best on pieces that have different textures such as smooth scales and some fur. Orientals, kirins.

I like the copper patina on the kirin a lot, and for once, I disagree with Nam – sorry, Nam :oops:. I think the brown eyes look great.

That Kirin’s a little too monochrome for me, though maybe it’s just the base color I’m not fond of–since it if were black, I’d be out-of-control drooling! I think I like the brown eyes better… 🙂

I’m liking the kirin like that too. I’m just wondering if the fur were darker, it might give it a bit more contrast.

My word, everyone is up so early. 😀 I couldn’t decide who was right about the eyes, so I photoshopped red onto them. c.c This is probably not perfectly what it’d look like, but I did sample off the patina oriental. >.>… Anyhoo, what do you all think? Would you have hated it? Haha~ I kinda like it, but I like the brown too…

I love that kirin!!

The copper patinas don’t look bad with red eyes, but I prefer the brown. I think Jen is right about the different textures….the cat candle lamp seemed kinda plain to me.

I think he’s have looked great. I was just thinking wow I wish he had red eyes like my black prototype baby.

I think that the brown eyes are generally more accepted! I just like the red with the copper and greens is all. 🙂

I like the red eyes; he’s too bland with the brown eyes. I just received the Copper Koi Ki-Rin. He has brown eyes, and I love him; however, the koi spots give him a bit of color. I saw this Ki-Rin with brown eyes and wasn’t even interested, but I would definitely buy him with red eyes.
